Here is a snippet of her story in her own words :
"In 2022 I lost my best friend, my dad, to bladder cancer and while anxiety and depression is common while grieving, I had no idea the levels of anxiety that had been appearing in my life before, and after. I continued to bowl that spring and competed on the PWBA tour, only to reach what felt like the lowest points of my career. When I would compete I would experience levels of anxiety and panic that I had never experienced before. I thought my poor performance was to blame and started working harder on my mental game. One day while practicing after an event, I began to experience chest pains that wouldn't go away. After a visit to the hospital in Cleveland and numerous tests, everything came back normal and they suggested I was experiencing a panic attack. THAT is when I finally got help and learned about my anxiety and how to truly manage it. I have since been a huge advocate of mental health in athletes because I think high achievers and athletes especially, often don't ask for help because they feel it is something that they can control on their own."
