このコンテンツについて
On this episode of the podcast, I get the opportunity to interview Dr. Omer Awan. Dr. Awan is a Professor of Radiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he serves as the Associate Vice Chair of Education in the department of Radiology. He is also a public health contributor for Forbes.com and publishes weekly timely articles on healthcare. He has a YouTube channel entitled "MedEdPage" that highlights videos on public health and medical education, seeking to simplify complex topics. His career goals have been to provide innovative teaching tools for learners and the public in a way that resonates with learning.
Omer and I discuss how leadership is a skillset to learn and not something many people are born with. We talk about the impact education can make on patients and in his case the impact he makes daily with his medical students. Omer strives to be an innovatice leader and educator and in this episode you hear his passion for why he chose to be a physician and give back through teaching.
