This era saw the park celebrate America’s Bicentennial, welcome iconic attractions like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and debut the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade. We watched Fantasyland transform into a Bavarian fairytale, ticket books disappear in favor of single admission, and Disneyland finally open its gates 365 days a year. With new leadership, legendary parades, and milestone celebrations, Disneyland’s third decade was truly a time of innovation, nostalgia, and magic for millions of guests.
