Dane Simpson is a stand up comedian based out of Wagga Wagga in country NSW, he's performed on the biggest stages in the country including the Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala and Roadshow. He is a proud Gamilaraay man, and what I've always loved about Dane's comedy is the honest simplicity of his stories, and the lightness and fun he brings to everything he talks about. We sat down after his last show in the Melbourne Comedy Festival this year to talk about his family, and growing up in Walgett and Wagga where he made a living for years as a nightclub and festival DJ before turning to stand up comedy. We spoke for 40 minutes but still only scratched the surface! Enjoy.
