Host Cynthia Chaplin attended The ⁠Old Vine Conference⁠, Piedmont edition, on November 7th 2023. It was here that Cynthia sat down with Tessa to discuss Vinchio Vaglio's old Barbera vines and the history and challenges the Cooperative has faced to bring their old vine project to life.

Tessa Donnadieu is the export manager for ⁠Vinchio Vaglio⁠ in Piedmont, responsible for making the excellence of this territory known in Italy and throughout the world. 

Vinchio Vaglio ⁠ is a Cooperative that straddles the villages of Vinchio and Vaglio Serra in the Monferrato region of Piedmont, Italy. Over 200 families in the area are members of the Cooperative covering around 500 hectares of vines. Vinchio Vaglio started their old vine Barbera project in 1987 and are considered old vine pioneers in the region.

About the host Cynthia Chaplin:

Cynthia Chaplin is a Vinitaly International Academy certified Italian Wine Ambassador, a professional sommelier with Fondazione Italiana Sommelier and the Worldwide Sommelier Association, a member of Le Donne del Vino, and a Professor of Italian Wine and Culture.
