  • 76. INSIDE COACHING SPECIAL: Owning Your Value: A Real Coaching Session on Money, Confidence and the Value of Caring
    2026/10/27

What happens when you know your work makes a difference, but still struggle to confidently ask to be paid for it?

In this real coaching session, I work with Amy from Baby Steps with Amy, a newborn care specialist, doula and birth educator who is passionate about empowering women and families. Although Amy knows the value of her work, talking about money leaves her feeling uncomfortable, and she worries about pricing people out of the support she offers.

Together, we explore why caring work is so often undervalued, how our beliefs about money can influence the way we communicate our value, and what happens when you start using your own strengths to support yourself.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why knowing your worth doesn't always mean you feel confident communicating it
    • How caring professions can shape our relationship with money
    • The fear of pricing people out and anticipating rejection
    • How to stop feeling the need to justify your prices
    • Using your own tools and techniques to build confidence
    • Shifting from worrying about selling to sharing your passion
    • Why a delayed response doesn't necessarily mean rejection

  • 75. Stop Shrinking Yourself to Fit In: Reclaiming Your Confidence
    2026/10/19
Episode 75: Stop Shrinking Yourself to Fit In: Reclaiming Your Confidence

Have you ever found yourself holding back, keeping the peace or changing parts of yourself because you're worried about what other people might think?

Sometimes, we spend so long trying to fit in and be who everyone else needs us to be that we lose sight of who we really are.

In this episode of Empowered By Claudia, I'm exploring how our need for acceptance and external validation can affect our confidence, our decisions and the way we show up in the world.

I share some personal reflections on learning to keep the peace, questioning my own identity and gradually rebuilding the confidence to speak up and be myself. I also reflect on my experience of speaking at Elevate Live 2026 and why growth often means taking action before we feel completely ready.

We explore how the patterns that once helped us feel safe and accepted can eventually hold us back, and why our lived experiences, perspectives and differences are valuable rather than something we need to hide.

    In this episode, you'll discover:

    • How people pleasing and the need to fit in can disconnect you from who you really are.

    • Why external validation, comparison and self doubt can undermine your confidence.

    • How your lived experience and unique perspective are valuable strengths.

    • Simple ways to reconnect with yourself and stop shrinking to make others comfortable.

    • How to build self trust and recognise your worth without waiting for someone else's approval.

    A question to reflect on

Where have you been shrinking yourself to fit in? What are you dismissing as part of your story that might actually be one of your strengths?

You don't need to fit in to be worthy. You don't need praise to be confident. Your experiences, your perspective and your life carry wisdom.

Want support with showing up as yourself?

When Your Body Says Slow Down, But Life Says Keep Going with PMDD Business Coach Ceri Brown

What if changing your expectations of yourself isn't giving up, but learning how to work with who you are now?

In this episode, I'm joined by PMDD Business Coach Ceri Brown to talk about how PMDD can affect confidence, self belief, work, relationships and business.

Ceri shares her own experience of PMDD and we explore what happens when your capacity changes, but the pressure to keep performing stays the same.

We talk about self doubt, comparison, working with your cycle rather than against it, creating support for your more difficult days and why having PMDD doesn't mean you have to make your ambitions smaller.

We also explore a bigger question: what if reclaiming your identity isn't about getting back to who you were, but understanding who you are now?

    In this episode:

    • Understanding PMDD and how it can affect everyday life
    • Why PMDD can amplify existing self doubt and limiting beliefs
    • Working with your energy rather than constantly pushing through
    • Why consistency doesn't have to mean doing the same thing every day
    • Tracking your symptoms and advocating for yourself
    • Asking for support rather than trying to manage everything alone
    • Why changing how you work doesn't mean making your dreams smaller
