  • Maybe You’re Not Being Too Hard on Yourself
    2026/09/28

Want to share something with me? Send me a direct text message.

What if you’re not being too hard on yourself? What if, deep down, you simply know you could be doing better?

After an emotional moment at a recent business summit, I found myself crying, not just from gratitude or excitement, but from disappointment in myself. And before anyone could tell me, “You’re doing great” or “Give yourself more grace,” I realized something: no one else gets to tell me whether I’m truly giving my best. I know.

In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between beating yourself up and calling yourself higher, when “giving yourself grace” can quietly become an excuse, and why disappointment in yourself isn’t always something you need to run from.

Because you can love yourself and still expect more from yourself. You can be proud of how far you’ve come and know you’re capable of more. And sometimes, in our effort to protect our comfort, our feelings, and our ego, we end up protecting the wrong thing.

So the question I’m asking myself, and you, is this:

Are you protecting your present comfort, or the future you say you want?

If there’s an area of your life where you already know you can do better, this episode is for you.

  • You Don’t Owe Anyone the Old Version of You
    2026/09/14

Want to share something with me? Send me a direct text message.

What if changing your mind isn’t inconsistency but evidence that you’ve grown?

In this episode of Elevate with Erica, we’re talking about the freedom to outgrow old opinions, habits, goals, identities, and even versions of ourselves that once served us.

Because the person you were 10 years ago had different experiences, different information, and different priorities. You can be grateful for who you were without letting her make every decision for who you are today.

We’ll talk about why growth can make other people uncomfortable, the identities we develop to protect ourselves, how our definition of success changes, and an important question: How do you know when you’ve truly outgrown something versus when you’re simply avoiding something hard?

And I’m introducing something new to the podcast: The Elevate Question—one question at the end of each episode for you to take with you, journal about, pray about, or simply sit with.

    Today’s question:

What is one thing you’ve outgrown that you haven’t given yourself permission to release?

You don’t owe anyone the old version of you.

Maybe it’s time to meet the who you’re becoming. 🤍

  • You’re Allowed to Outgrow the Story That Broke You
    2026/08/31

Want to share something with me? Send me a direct text message.

After nearly seven months away from the microphone and five years of consistently showing up, I’m finally ready to tell you why I needed to step away. We’re talking about healing without making your pain your identity, forgiveness, rebuilding confidence, strengthening my faith and marriage, and learning that you’re allowed to move forward without constantly retelling the story of what broke you.

Elevate with Erica is back and this next chapter isn’t about everything we’ve survived. It’s about everything we’re becoming.
