What if you’re not being too hard on yourself? What if, deep down, you simply know you could be doing better?
After an emotional moment at a recent business summit, I found myself crying, not just from gratitude or excitement, but from disappointment in myself. And before anyone could tell me, “You’re doing great” or “Give yourself more grace,” I realized something: no one else gets to tell me whether I’m truly giving my best. I know.
In this episode, we’re talking about the difference between beating yourself up and calling yourself higher, when “giving yourself grace” can quietly become an excuse, and why disappointment in yourself isn’t always something you need to run from.
Because you can love yourself and still expect more from yourself. You can be proud of how far you’ve come and know you’re capable of more. And sometimes, in our effort to protect our comfort, our feelings, and our ego, we end up protecting the wrong thing.
So the question I’m asking myself, and you, is this:
Are you protecting your present comfort, or the future you say you want?
If there’s an area of your life where you already know you can do better, this episode is for you.
