このコンテンツについて

Helping you remember you’re not lost, you’re on the edge of something real.
Edge of Real is a podcast for women who are waking up later in life - and realizing they’re ready for something more.

Hosted by Kristin Hamilton, this is a space for rediscovery beyond the roles, rules, and expectations that never quite fit. Part soft rebellion, part spiritual journal, Edge of Real invites you into the honest, often messy process of unbecoming what you’re not… so you can remember who you really are.

Each week, I invite you into my own re-becoming - sharing stories, spiritual insights, personal permission slips, and real-time reflections from the messy, beautiful middle. I discover and discuss soul-level tools for returning to what’s real - exploring self-discovery beyond the titles, timelines, and expectations that never quite fit. As one woman, shedding and shifting in real time - I offer encouragement, reflection, and permission to evolve on your own terms.
Whether you’re standing at a threshold, questioning what’s real, or craving something deeper… this is for you.

Because the edge isn’t the end.
It’s the becoming.

If you've ever felt lost between who you were and who you're becoming, this episode is for you. As women in midlife, we often find ourselves in this uncomfortable limbo, feeling lost and disconnected while simultaneously hungry for something more. We discuss that the uncomfortable place of uncertainty isn't a detour, it's precisely where transformation happens. Most of us have been taught that clarity equals competence, that knowing exactly where we're headed somehow makes us more worthy or successful. We look around at other women who seem to have it all figured out - while we're stumbling through fog, hungry for something more but without a map to get there.

This episode invites you to exhale and release the pressure. You don't need perfect clarity to be on your path. That space of not knowing isn't evidence of failure, it's a time where your authentic self can finally emerge. We explore how awakening rarely arrives as expected.

The episode also dives into a couple scientific explanations, from neuroplasticity to quantum physics, to help explain how our thoughts literally help shape our reality. Learn how practices like gratitude journaling can rewire neural pathways, shifting us from our natural negativity bias toward positive patterns that invite transformation.

Whether you're standing at the edge of change or feeling lost in the midst of it, this conversation offers gentle reassurance that you're exactly where you need to be. And it offers an actionable step to help you feel better, no matter where you are along the path. Remember: you're not lost, you're on the edge of something real.

Ever have that uncomfortable feeling that you've tucked away parts of yourself to please others? You're not alone. In this revealing episode, I share the two pivotal moments that cracked me open and ultimately birthed this podcast.

First, a breakthrough therapy session where I realized my true self wasn't lost at all, just carefully hidden away for safekeeping. Then, the strange way Pinocchio's question "Am I a real boy?" haunted me for over a year, highlighting how I'd become more wooden puppet than living woman. This wasn't imposter syndrome, it was deeper - what I call "soul amnesia." After decades of adapting, performing, and prioritizing others, I'd simply forgotten how to be me.

The journey back to authenticity doesn't require becoming someone new - just returning to someone true. Drawing from my experience as a personal growth coach, I share the practical tools that help me and my clients reconnect: personalized meditation, affirmations that rewire beliefs, subliminals that bypass resistance, gratitude journaling with scripting, movement practices, and reflective prompts that bring awareness to buried feelings. These approaches help navigate common midlife challenges like identity loss, purpose questions, and decision paralysis.

Whether you're feeling disconnected or simply sensing there's more to life than your current experience, this episode offers both validation and a roadmap home to yourself. Because remember: you're not late, you're right on time. And the edge isn't the end, it's the becoming.

Welcome to Edge of Real. Have you ever looked at your life and thought, "Is this really it? When did I disappear?" That feeling of something missing - something that needs to wake the hell up - is exactly what this podcast addresses.

A podcast for women in their 40s, 50s and beyond who find themselves standing at the threshold of transformation, this podcast offers a rare authenticity. As a certified life coach, writer, and entrepreneur navigating my own midlife reawakening, I'm sharing the raw, unfiltered journey of remembering who I truly am. This isn't about reinvention - it's about reclaiming the badass we've always been beneath the noise, expectations, and timelines that never quite fit.

Each episode delves into personal stories, spiritual insights, and the messy work of rediscovery. You won't find formulaic advice or Instagram perfection here - just soul-level exploration and real-time unraveling as I clear out old beliefs and disrupt the averageness that settled into my life. No more half-assing it. No more "I'm fine." I am done playing small becomes our shared manifesto.

The edge of real isn't a cliff where something ends - it's the magical space where becoming happens. Whether you're questioning your identity, seeking deeper alignment, or simply ready to get your goddamn sparkle back, you're not doing this alone. Subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts, follow @edgeofrealpodcast on Instagram, and let's figure out this journey together. Because remembering who you are isn't a crisis - it's the adventure of a lifetime.
