このコンテンツについて

@easydoublepod is a running podcast hosted by Ryan, Dean and Eoin. We all come from very different backgrounds but have ended up as training partners in Perth, Australia. Generally we talk about running a bit too much, whether that be shoes, nutrition, training, performances, conspiracy theories or just poking fun at each other. Our long runs often take us down some rabbit holes and we thought it could be both insightful and humorous to explore some of these on a podcast. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, contrary to our approach to training. Welcome to the Easy Double Club.Easy Double ランニング・ジョギング

  • EDP27: The Clubhouse Launch / Lausanne & Brussels DL / National XC / Antrim Coast half / Tooting BMC
    2025/08/24

This week’s episode of the Easy Double Podcast is a big one — we’re launching The Easy Double Clubhouse 🎉

The Clubhouse is our new private community space: think of it as a backstage pass to the pod, where you can chat about races, shoe rotations, YouTube diaries, and importantly all of your secret double troubles. Listener questions, bonus announcements, and early guest reveals will now all come from inside the Clubhouse — and the best part? It’s completely free to join easydoubleclubhouse.circle.so

Although you can choose to join as a supporter and make a donation if you'd like to help us out towards the cost - your way of saying thanks!

We also dive into a stacked week of running:

    • Lausanne & Brussels Diamond Leagues 🔥

    • Australian National XC

    • Tooting BMC “Last Call for Tokyo”

    • Antrim Coast Half Marathon

Plus, we check in on our training weeks, preview Sydney, chat Mantz’s shoe switch, look at the NYC elite fields, and cover Keely Hodgkinson’s team update — it’s a loaded episode.

If you enjoy the show, please drop a 5⭐ review and we’ll see you in The Clubhouse!

  • EDP26: Silesia Diamond League / Eoins Frank Duffy 10 mile / Rest of Europe round up
    2025/08/17

The Easy Double boys are back with a loaded episode after one of the busiest weeks of the season, these 2hr episodes are out of control

We start by reflecting on last week’s Jake Smith interview — your reactions, our takeaways, and why it might just have brought some new faces into the Easy Double community. Over in the Strava group, Jake’s antics continue, Kristian's Canova-style special gets the nod, and we talk about the special delivery on the way ahead of the Clubhouse launch next week.

From there, it’s into The Results:

    • Silesia Diamond League: Keely Hodgkinson front-running her way to a world lead, Jess Hull pacing a WR attempt, Rose Davies and Lauren Ryan hitting huge marks.. Plus the Goose racing with new tactics and Hoey upsetting Kessler.

    • Sweden’s Folksam Grand Prix: Andreas Almgren obliterates his own national record, Seth O’Donnell shows serious form, and the Aussies keep climbing the all-time ranks.

    • Hungarian GP, Oulu Finland, and Fribourg Switzerland: big PBs across the middle-distance crew, British standards getting ticked off left and right, and a busy week for the Aussies in Europe.

Dean breaks down his own training week and talks through the discomfort he's been feeling and what he's doing to manage it. Eoin was racing again! With a big 10 mile race in Dublins Phoenix Park, how high up could he finish?

In the news section, we get into:

    • The Chicago Marathon elite fields announcement

    • Jakob Ingebrigtsens YouTube flirting with a few different options for Tokyo and beyond

    • Fred Kerley’s whereabouts case making headlines

    • Jess Hull talking gold medal ambitions

    • Herne Hill Harriers’ “Last Call for Tokyo” 3000m

YouTube Diaries dives into Clayton Young’s World Championships buildup, and Double Trouble has it all: Strava PBs that don’t quite line up, stopping the watch early, and cyclists panicking about cars that weren’t really that close.

Finally, we look ahead to another stacked week of racing: Lausanne Diamond League midweek (Keely vs. Hunter Bell over 800m 👀) and Brussels on the weekend with a big 5000m showdown.

  • Jake Smith: The Champions Mentality - Olympic Standards, Uganda/NN, RED-S and the mental and physical rebuild
    2025/08/15

Ryan sat down with British distance runner Jake Smith to chat all things running, RED-S (& football).

It was an absolute pleasure to hear about Jake's journey, how he has rebuilt both physically and mentally.

    - How his upbringing in Hong Kong shaped who he is

    - His (unfortunate) passion for Reading FC

    - Starting out as a triathlete

    - Early career successes (60:31 HM / Olympic marathon QT )

    - Signing for NN & Ugandan training camps

    - RED-S, eating disorders and body image difficulties

    - Heart rate and lactate training

    - Rebuilding mentally and physically

    - Getting back to top shape

    - Running 2:11 at the London marathon

    - Long term Olympic goals from early successes and rising to the top to how he

    - Who he has beef with & who he thinks will win the 1500m gold

Hopefully you enjoy this chat and can get a lot from it.
