このコンテンツについて

@easydoublepod is a running podcast hosted by Ryan, Dean and Eoin. We all come from very different backgrounds but have ended up as training partners in Perth, Australia. Generally we talk about running a bit too much, whether that be shoes, nutrition, training, performances, conspiracy theories or just poking fun at each other. Our long runs often take us down some rabbit holes and we thought it could be both insightful and humorous to explore some of these on a podcast. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, contrary to our approach to training. Welcome to the Easy Double Club.Easy Double ランニング・ジョギング

    2025/10/12

EDP34- The lads are back and reporting from Ireland and both corners of Australia.

We start off by going through both Perth and Melbourne marathon results, at the time of recording Chicago hadn't even started but Eoin runs through the results at the end of the episode.

We chat all things Athlos, a female-only track meet which took place in NYC. We dicscuss whether such specialised competitions still serve a purpose in today's athletics landscape.

Femke Bol's announces her bold transition from 400m hurdles to 800m, exploring what this move means for her career and the excitement it generates in the sport.

The boys have a brief discussion on training shoes and wonder if super shoes are all that super.

We chat our own training updates.

Youtube Diaries features Australias own Andy Buchanan.

Rounding out the episode we chat all things cross country regarding World Cross Country selection processes in Ireland, Australia and the UK.

  • EDP33: Perth, Melbourne, Chicago Marathon Preview / UK Coach Banned / Grand Slam Athletes get paid! (half)
    2025/10/05

EDP33 — the boys are back and there’s plenty to unpack.

We recorded too early to cover results but reference: Cardiff Half, where Jake Smith & Callum Hawkins battled through Storm Amy chaos, plus a full breakdown of Eoin’s race week and a cross-training check-in from Dean and Ryan.

In the news round-up, we cover the loaded Chicago Marathon elite field, preview the Melbourne and Perth Marathon festivals. We also react to the headline story from the UK — coach Andy Young handed a three-year ban for serious misconduct — and what it says about athlete welfare in elite sport.

There’s more: Grand Slam Track receives a $5.3 million funding boost (with a few strings attached).

YouTube Diaries features British marathoner Phil Sessemann and his eye-watering double threshold session ahead of Amsterdam and Valencia, while Double Trouble welcomes a Clubhouse update that proves “the wheel that squeaks gets greased.”

All that, plus Cat Chat (courtesy of Cooper Teare), a front-crawl vs freestyle debate, and a wrap-up that somehow ends with the Singapore GP, Liverpool’s latest disaster.

Grab your coffee, lace up, and settle in — it’s another big one from Easy Double.
