Episodio 6: La lingua italiana, il vero ponte tra le generazioni

Non tutti sanno che l’Australia è tra i paesi al mondo in cui l’insegnamento dell’italiano è più diffuso, seconda solo all’Italia stessa per numero di studenti!

Lo stato del Victoria guida le statistiche: oltre il 50% degli studenti sceglie di studiare la lingua tricolore. Un fenomeno dovuto a molti fattori, ma soprattutto alla forte presenza della comunità italiana, radicata sin dalle prime ondate migratorie del secolo scorso e sempre più apprezzata per il suo patrimonio culturale e linguistico.

Quest’anno, inoltre, ricorre un anniversario importante: il programma di assistentato linguistico del CO.AS.IT. compie 30 anni. Un traguardo che testimonia la costanza e l’impegno con cui l’ente ha promosso, sostenuto e reso accessibile lo studio dell’italiano a migliaia di studenti australiani, contribuendo a mantenere vivo il legame con la lingua e la cultura d’origine.

In questa puntata, i conduttori Luca Esposito e Marco Fedi approfondiscono il ruolo centrale del CO.AS.IT., che da trent’anni porta avanti con successo il programma di assistentato linguistico.

In studio, per raccontare iniziative e progetti a sostegno di una lingua più viva che mai, anche a migliaia di chilometri dall’Italia, la manager del dipartimento Education, Michela Pellizon.

Spazio anche alle voci degli assistenti linguistici, che con dedizione lavorano ogni settimana con centinaia di studenti appassionati di cultura italiana.

Episode 6: The Italian language, a true bridge between generations

Not everyone knows that Australia is one of the countries in the world where the teaching of Italian is most widespread, second only to Italy itself in terms of student numbers!

The state of Victoria leads the statistics: over 50% of students choose to study the Italian language. This phenomenon is due to many factors, but above all to the strong presence of the Italian community, rooted since the first migration waves of the last century and increasingly appreciated for its cultural and linguistic heritage.

This year also marks an important anniversary: the CO.AS.IT. language assistant program turns 30. This milestone highlights the consistency and commitment with which the organization has promoted, supported, and made the study of Italian accessible to thousands of Australian students, helping to keep alive the bond with the language and its cultural roots.

In this episode, hosts Luca Esposito and Marco Fedi explore the central role of CO.AS.IT., which has successfully carried out the language assistant program for three decades.

Joining them in the studio to share initiatives and projects that keep the language vibrant, even thousands of kilometers away from Italy, is Michela Pellizon, manager of the CO.AS.IT. Education Department.

There will also be space for the voices of the language assistants, who work with dedication every week with hundreds of students passionate about Italian culture.
