このコンテンツについて
When you’ve lived in survival mode, calm can feel unsafe. Your body still braces for danger, even when you’re finally safe.
In this episode, Naomi shares how trauma reshapes your nervous system and creates survival patterns like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. You’ll learn how to heal your nervous system from trauma, calm the amygdala, and begin rebuilding safety through simple somatic tools like grounding, breathwork, and self-soothing.
⟡ ABOUT THE HOST, NAOMI SPARKS:
Naomi Sparks is a mom, wife, healing coach, and a cult survivor. She grew up in a tightly controlled religious cult in Northern California and spent years disconnected from her true self. Her work now centers around helping others reclaim their voice, heal generational pain, and step into wholeness without apology.
⟡ TRY THIS PRACTICE:
Ground: feet flat, press down, name three things you see, two you hear, one you feel. Say “I am safe.”
Box breathe: inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat.
Havening touch: slow strokes on arms with gentle phrases like “You’re safe now.”
Co-regulate: be with calm, grounded people or communities that hold safe space.
⟡ TO ASK YOURSELF GENTLY
“When does my body feel most unsafe, and what helps it soften again?”
