 Ginny Yurich from 1000 Hours Outside is back with us and the bulk of this episode is spent on the sobering topic of “church hurt.” Ginny shares her family’s very personal and painful experience with being dismissed from their church after confronting inappropriate behavior within youth leadership. This behavior, as it turns out was predatory and linked to grooming.She generously shares what they’ve learned, as well as resources and encouragement for anyone that may find themselves in a similar situation.The first part of the episode is classic Ginny wisdom. She shares that she’s been told to ‘stay in her lane’ but discovered, the simple concept of getting outside has encompassed so much more than just that.
