I am a Dream Chaser, as well as a certified Life and Career Coach, who delights in helping people pursue the career and lifestyle changes their inner self truly craves. In 2008, I made a radical discovery – my full and seemingly fulfilling life was making me seriously ill. I realised that things had to change and fast. As a result this meant moving my life out of the centre of London, and away from my corporate high-paced job, to rural Wales and re-training to embark on a completely new profession and working for myself. Dream Chasers are people who are ready to make actionable moves to craft their ideal career and life, aligned with what brings them joy and delight, on their own terms. This show is intentionally designed to infuse you with inspiration and practical advice on how to live true to yourself, go after your goals and radically conquer any obstacles standing in your way. You can expect to learn from like-minded Dream Chasers who are on their journey to transition to a new way of living and working, or from those who have already achieved their own version of happiness and success...their way. I have candid, uplifting and energetic conversations with friends, fellow experts, colleagues and clients, intended to give you a dose of humour, positivity and practical foresight. Living your life, true to you, is simple and daring. This show is here to give you solid insights and guidance to pursue your own transformation as you go in the direction of your epic dreams, happiness and greater meaning.Copyright 2025 Alison O'Leary | The Dream Chasers Show 個人的成功 出世 就職活動 経済学 自己啓発

  • EP032 | The Surprising Ripple Effect of Gratitude, with Alison O'Leary
    2025/05/23
    In this episode:

I’m get into the subject of gratitude.

Now, before you roll your eyes because this is something we’ve all heard of before and we know we’re supposed to do more of it (!), what I’m delving into here isn’t just the bog standard “this is why gratitude is good for you and why you should do it” argument.

There’s actually a fascinating result of gratitude practices that isn’t really talked about much, and I want to bring it alive because it can have a huge impact on the number of good things happening to and for you in your life.

The basis for this is that gratitude makes us:

    …more OPEN to opportunities,

    …helps create MORE opportunities, and

…makes us more likely to ACT on those opportunities.

    Intrigued? Great.

Come join me on this short, but useful episode!

  • EP031 | 37 million lessons in happiness, with Matt Phelan
    2025/04/24
    In this episode:

What an awesome guest I have for you in this episode. He is truly the go-to person on the subject of happiness at work.

Come and listen as I talk to Matt Phelan, Co-founder and Co-CEO at ‘The Happiness Index’.

A few years ago, Matt gave a TEDx talk where he presented 12 million data points in happiness, from 1 million people in over 100 countries. Safe to say - what this man doesn’t know about happiness, particularly in a work context, is probably not worth knowing!

In our conversation we dig into what The Happiness Index is all about, and we talk through what the latest learnings are around happiness and engagement and what really drives us in these areas.

We also get into something called The Super Happiness Suit, and talk about whether happiness at work is different from happiness in our personal lives. Do we have separate drivers for those areas of our lives, or are there strong commonalities?

    Come join us!

    𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗜𝗢:

Matt is the founder of The Happiness and Humans Community, host of The Happiness and Humans Podcast and author of ‘Freedom To Be Happy: The Business Case for Happiness’ and ‘The Happiness Index: Why Today's Employee Emotions Equal Tomorrow's Business Success’.

Matt has delivered a TEDx talk where he drew on a world of 12 million data points, and tells the story of our happiness in the workplace from 1 million human beings in 100+ countries in less than 15 minutes.

Matt Phelan is also a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of the Happiness Index, a business that helps organisations to thrive by understanding how their people think and feel, then use these insights to create a culture of high performance. In his day-to-day role, he's responsible for the strategic direction of the business.

  • EP030 | The secret to nurturing curiosity and creative thinking, with Paul Spiers
    2025/03/27
    In this episode:

I have invited my friend, Paul Spiers, back to talk about the subject of creativity.

When it comes to figuring out the life and career changes that will make us feel the happiest, most fulfilled and most alive, we need to be creative. We need to be able to free our minds up to think beyond our current set up and experience, and really allow ourselves to imagine what could be possible.

Sometimes that can be really hard to do, especially if you’re someone who feels trapped by your current circumstances, or weighed down by reality, or potentially deem yourself an uncreative person. All of this kills inspiration and ideas, making it impossible to conjure up your best life, which means you can’t then go after it.

Paul is a thought leader when it comes to the subject of creativity (although he’ll probably laugh at me using that description!) He’s genuinely one of the smartest and most creative people I know and that I’ve ever worked with.

Come join us as I pick his brains with questions like:

How can we ignite our curiosity?

How do we get into a creative zone?

Are there environmental factors that make a difference?

What do we do if we are not a naturally creative person? Then what?

    - - -

    𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗜𝗢:

A serial entrepreneur, Paul Spiers is the founder of The New P&L® Institute and host of the internationally respected top 5% podcast series, The New P&L® – Principles & Leadership in Business.

He is a speaker, trainer and consultant, and works at the intersection of leadership, culture, people and purpose. A naturally creative storyteller, he’s a highly engaging and inspiring speaker, panel moderator and roundtable facilitator.

Paul delivers keynotes and workshops filled with insightful and thought-provoking observations and offers practical examples of how to apply the true power of purpose, creativity, principles and leadership in business.

He helps senior leaders, employees and companies better prepare for the more complex Future of Work by advising on how they can transform and align their leadership, vision, strategy and culture to elevate business performance.
