I wrote this song as a rendition of Psalm 86:12. The first part of the song goes:

I will sing to the Lord with my life each day,
Lift my voice in the morning, find my way.
A melody rising, as the sun breaks free,
Singing praises to the One who’s always with me.
I’ll sing a new song, from the depths of my soul,
With joy in my heart, I’ll let His love take control.

I wrote this song for those whose loved one is going through the battle of cognitive decline.

When the sun sets low and shadows grow,
I find myself lost in a world I don’t know.
Please don’t ask me to remember our days,
As the memories fade in a foggy haze.
Don’t try to explain all the turmoil inside,
Just kiss my cheek, hold my hand, be my guide.
Forgive me, dear, for the things I can’t say,
I’m more confused than I can convey.
