Data is the new gold in dentistry, and it's time we approach it with the same rigor seen in other areas of healthcare. Our patients have a right to know how successful our treatments are—just as they do in medicine.

Dentistry is an integral part of the global healthcare system, and we must fully engage with it. The only way to overcome intuitive bias in our field is through the consistent and thoughtful use of data.

Dr. Mc Allister is a dual trained; a periodontist and a PhD form the university of Texas San Antonio. He practiced the specialty of Periodontics in Oregon and teach part time at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He is very well published and was part of many consensuses over the years. He is a pioneer in researching stem cells with his first paper on that subject in 1998. Him and I are working on research project involving cellular bone allograft.
