The turning point began when his wife wanted their son baptized. Though initially reluctant, Douglas noticed something in the church community that he wanted. Douglas's passion for sharing this evidence led him to write books including "Counting to God" and his latest, "The God Proofs"—a graphic novel aimed at younger readers. His mission stems from personal experience: "I wanted to spare people from what I had been through—so many years of thinking that life was meaningless."
