    🎙️ Diary of a Kidney Warrior Podcast is 6 years old!

    On 31st August 2020, Dee Moore officially launched Diary of a Kidney Warrior Podcast with a mission to educate, empower and inspire people living with kidney disease and those who support them.

    Six years later, that mission continues.

    In this special anniversary message, Dee reflects on the journey so far and says thank you to the kidney patients who have trusted her with their stories, the health professionals who have shared their knowledge and expertise, and every listener who has supported, shared and been part of the podcast community.

    Dee also acknowledges Kidney Care UK, who she has proudly partnered with since 2021, and their continued support of Diary of a Kidney Warrior Podcast.

    What does it really mean to become a living kidney donor — and what would inspire someone to donate a kidney to a complete stranger? In this episode of Diary of a Kidney Warrior Podcast, Dee Moore speaks with Hayley about her remarkable living kidney donation journey, which began with a dream she first had at just eight years old. Years later, Hayley turned that childhood ambition into reality, becoming an altruistic living kidney donor and giving a stranger the gift of a kidney transplant.     What is vasculitis, and how can it affect your kidneys?

    In this episode of Diary of a Kidney Warrior Podcast, Dee Moore is joined by Dr Lauren, a Specialist Training Registrar in Renal Medicine with a special interest in vasculitis. Dr Lauren completed a PhD in ANCA-associated vasculitis at the University of Manchester and has collaborated with vasculitis experts across the UK and internationally.

    Dr Lauren breaks down vasculitis in clear, accessible language, explaining how inflammation of the blood vessels can affect the kidneys and potentially lead to kidney damage and kidney failure.
