**Dharma, Actually** is a podcast about Hinduism, morality, religion, philosophy, and the difficult questions that sit between them. Hosted by Mr. Kevin, the show begins with Hindu stories, scriptures, characters, and ideas, then follows those questions wherever they lead — into other religions, philosophy, history, pop culture, and everyday life. What is Dharma? Can a religious person still be evil? When does loyalty become destructive? Is doing the right thing always the same as following the rules? This is not a sermon and it is not a lecture. It is a conversation built around curiosity,DharmaActually スピリチュアリティ ヒンズー教

  • 3 Hindu Stories About Wisdom: Nachiketa, Ganesha & the Mongoose | Episode 2
    2026/09/16

Three Hindu stories about wisdom, Dharma and thinking before you act. We look at Nachiketa and Yama from the Katha Upanishad, Ganesha and Kartikeya from the Shiva Purana, and the famous mongoose story from the Panchatantra.

Nachiketa has to choose between what feels good now and what is actually worth pursuing. Ganesha stops to understand a challenge before rushing into it. And one terrible assumption in the Panchatantra shows what can happen when we react before knowing the full story.

Three very different stories with one simple lesson:

    Pause. Understand. Then act.

This is Dharma, Actually, where we explore Hinduism, Hindu philosophy, the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Hindu gods and the stories behind Dharma

  • What Is Dharma? The Hindu Idea That Explains Right and Wrong
    2026/09/11

    What does Dharma actually mean?

People usually translate it as duty, righteousness, morality, or doing the right thing. But the more you look into it, the less simple it becomes.

In the first episode of Dharma, Actually, I try to figure out what Dharma really is and why it matters so much in Hindu thought.

We talk about order, right and wrong, responsibility, the Bhagavad Gita, Rama, Krishna, and some modern examples that make the whole idea a little easier to understand.

    The big question is simple.

Is something right because we are told it is right?

Or is there a deeper order we are supposed to be trying to protect?

This is not a lecture. I am figuring it out as I go, and hopefully you can figure it out with me.
