  • What Is Dharma? The Hindu Idea That Explains Right and Wrong
    2026/09/11

    What does Dharma actually mean?

People usually translate it as duty, righteousness, morality, or doing the right thing. But the more you look into it, the less simple it becomes.

In the first episode of Dharma, Actually, I try to figure out what Dharma really is and why it matters so much in Hindu thought.

We talk about order, right and wrong, responsibility, the Bhagavad Gita, Rama, Krishna, and some modern examples that make the whole idea a little easier to understand.

    The big question is simple.

Is something right because we are told it is right?

Or is there a deeper order we are supposed to be trying to protect?

This is not a lecture. I am figuring it out as I go, and hopefully you can figure it out with me.
