  • Stop Running On Empty After 50
    2026/07/21

You can be crushing it by every outside measure and still feel like you’re running on empty after 50. Deborah Mallow knows that feeling intimately because it nearly cost her everything before she found her way back to joy.

If you’re a woman who looks successful from the outside, but feels stressed, exhausted, and disconnected from your own joy on the inside, tune in as my guest, Deborah Mallow, explores how burnout takes hold and what it really takes to reconnect with your inner sunshine. Deborah is a former top-ranked biotech sales rep turned resilience expert and author of the award-winning book, “Six Steps to Fewer Days that Suck.” She relates the exact moment that forced her to admit something had to change, plus the science-backed, deceptively simple practices that helped her rebuild resilience and self-kindness one small win at a time. You’ll leave with tools for regulating stress, quieting your inner critic, and giving yourself permission to feel better, starting today.

    In this episode, you’ll discover:

    • Why burnout doesn’t always look like collapse. Sometimes it looks like “success” on paper while you’re falling apart on the inside
    • The neuroscience of small wins: how tiny daily habits rewire your brain for resilience and calm
    • A simple morning practice to interrupt the cortisol spike that fuels midlife stress and anxiety
    • Why it’s never too late to reinvent yourself — and how letting go of others’ judgment is the real permission slip you’ve been waiting for

  • Design Your Life: How to Live Boldly on Purpose in Midlife
    2026/07/14

You don’t need a milestone or someone else’s permission to claim your freedom in midlife. You just need to stop waiting for it. Following up on last week’s episode about claiming your independence, the question to ask yourself now is “What am I free to create in this next chapter of my life?”

In this episode, I share a Daily Word reading that explores the concept of freedom and I get honest about the fear that keeps so many of us settling. You’ll learn what questions to ask yourself to help you get to the root of the fear that may be keeping you from living boldly and on purpose. And I offer a light language transmission to help you release whatever might be keeping you stuck. If you’re ready to stop waiting for permission and start designing your life your way, this one’s for you.

    In this episode, you’ll discover:

    • Why “free as a bird” isn’t just a metaphor: it’s a decision you get to make about your career, relationships, and legacy at this stage of life.
    • A simple line of questioning that helps you find the real fear underneath your fear, instead of stopping at the surface-level excuse.
    • Why settling for what’s comfortable can quietly cost you decades — my mother’s story, and the lesson I still carry from it.
    • How to turn every hard season you’ve survived into a “resilience journal” you can lean on the next time life gets hard.

  • Declare Your Independence After 50: It’s Time to Stop Settling
    2026/07/07

What if the most powerful act of midlife reinvention you could make this year wasn’t about leaving anything behind — but about fully claiming your right to stop settling and live life on your own terms?

July 4, 2026 commemorates America’s 250th birthday and it’s had me thinking about what independence really means for women over 50. In this solo episode, I share stories from my own life, growing up during the women’s liberation movement, watching my mom quietly settle in a marriage that dimmed her spirit, and my own journey of midlife self-discovery. I open up about the fears and limiting beliefs that hold so many of us back: financial insecurity, fear of being alone, and the old habit of people-pleasing.

I also share a short light language transmission to help you release whatever’s been keeping you small. By the end of this episode, I hope you feel ready to write your own declaration of independence — a mindset shift toward living life on your terms, free from limiting beliefs, free from relationships that no longer serve you, and free from anything that was never yours to carry.

    In this episode, you’ll discover:

    • Why declaring independence after 50 is more about releasing limiting beliefs (like unworthiness and fear of others’ opinions) than about leaving a person or situation.
    • How watching my mom stay in an unfulfilling marriage taught me that financial fear can keep even strong women from claiming what they want
    • Why true independence in midlife requires support (the colonies didn’t do it alone, and neither should you)
    • A simple mirror work practice to build confidence after 50 and reclaim your visibility when the world tries to make you feel invisible
    • How to start writing your own declaration of independence — naming exactly what you’re letting go of and what you’re choosing instead
