The Reach For Health Centre specialise in both physical and mental health rehabilitation, addressing a wide range of conditions such as sports injuries, pre and post-joint replacements, stroke recovery, heart issues, diabetes, and more. Many of the members are referred by GPs, hospital doctors, or healthcare professionals seeking specialised rehabilitation support.

Darren Harper - Senior Rehabilitation Practitioner.

With over 22 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the team. His journey began with a deep interest in martial arts, and he studied various Kung Fu styles and Tai Chi, which laid the foundation for his holistic approach to wellness. Darren joined The Reach For Health Centre in 2003 as an assistant coach, where he focused on rehabilitation exercises and fitness.

Darren takes immense pride in helping others achieve their goals, especially when it comes to recovery and improving fitness levels. He finds it incredibly rewarding to witness members reach new heights in their health journey. Now a full Rehabilitation Coach and Otago Instructor, Darren specialises in falls prevention and all areas of health and rehabilitation. As the course lead for Active Healthy Aging Program, he’s dedicated to guiding individuals toward better health, function, and overall wellness.
