Parts 3-5 deepen some mysteries and resolve others, and serve up a bevy of challenges that, while uninteresting, offer our beloved characters plenty of opportunities to be their lovable selves.

    William and Jacob are back after a brief break to discuss Fonda Lee's The Last Contract of Isako. Isthmus Isako is a corporate samurai on the brutal planet Aquilo, where your next pink slip could mean your head is literally on the chopping block. There are a lot of typical sci-fi things happening here, and it's a well-paced and well-written novel but...it doesn't quite work for your hosts, and they're not sure why. But they get the giggles trying to figure it out.

    It’s time for a big departure on DRAGONS DADDIES DEEP SPACE as your hosts are diving deep into Caro Claire Burke’s brilliant new novel Yesteryear, which is admittedly…not really sci-fi or fantasy, but is legitimately an incredible read. Natalie Heller Mills is the plastered-on smile behind a popular tradwife Instagram account whose perfect facade is beginning to crumble, especially when she wakes up in the 1850s. It’s thorny, it’s funny, it’s incredibly dark, surprisingly moving, and sharply written.
