  • #13: Supplement Industry Lies - Die Tryin Co. and Shroom Biosis
    2026/09/02

In this episode, I sit down with Onur Oncer and Jon Klipstein, the guys behind Die Tryin Co. and ShroomBiosis! Both of these guys are veterans, and that background shapes everything they do, including how seriously they take their own health and the products they put out into the world.

We get into the insider scoop on the supplement industry, and they share a lot of information that most consumers never get to hear. Their two companies work in tandem, and we spend a good chunk of the conversation talking about mushroom coffee and why it's become such a big part of what they're building.

Check out Die Tryin Co. at dietryin.co and Shroom Biosis at shroombiosis.com. Both sites have their products available for purchase, so take a look and see what fits your routine! You can reach Onur and Jon through their companies' social media pages or the emails listed on their websites.

Thanks to both of them for joining me and being so open about their experience in this industry!

  • #5: Solid systems = solid life
    2026/07/29

Nobody wants to talk about this, but it's the thing that actually makes your dreams happen: systems. I learned the hard way that a harvest doesn't come from a dream, it comes from nailing down a good system. For a while I got mad at my results like the universe owed me something, until I realized I didn't need to keep doing the same thing and hoping for change, I needed to change my systems. Once I leveled those up, my life leveled up with them. If you feel stuck, take a breath. You aren't broken, your systems are, and systems can always be rebuilt.

  • #4: Farming Didn’t Just Grow Food — It Grew Me.
    2026/07/29

In this episode, I'm sharing something raw and personal: my journey from addiction to running my own small farm. I open up about hitting rock bottom, losing people I loved along the way, and what it actually took to rebuild my life piece by piece. I get into the mindset shifts that got me out, why I believe recovering addicts often make great entrepreneurs, and how the early days of Ten Mile Mushrooms became part of my healing.

This one is deeply personal, but I wanted to share it because I know someone out there needs to hear it.

  • #3: Resilience - The key to overcoming the "hard" things
    2026/07/29

I talk about what it really takes to stay resilient, especially through the hardest "winter seasons" of building a business. I compare it to mycelium, living under pressure in the dark before it ever becomes something beautiful. The takeaway: say yes to the things you want to say no to, keep showing up daily, and take care of your mind first, your body second, and your relationships third. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

  • #7: Steps of Gourmet Mushroom Production
    2026/07/29

I break down the four steps of cultivation: agar, G1 spawn, G2 spawn, and ready to fruit substrate. It starts with master slants for long term storage, which get used to make master plates, then T1 plates, which I mix with grain to create G1 bags. Those turn into G2 over time, and finally get mixed with substrate to create ready to fruit blocks. Steam has been the most consistent way for us to sterilize grain, and every single step gets tested for contamination before it moves forward, since one mistake early on cascades through everything after it.
