On today’s show, we sat down with Crystal Silmi, a San Francisco—born Palestinian—Irish belly-dance fusion artist and animal liberation advocate. From touring with her company RaksArabi to launching the WILD production that channels endangered species through movement, Crystal has turned her art into activism. We discussed her time with PETA, her powerful creative protests, and how dance can be a megaphone for compassion.
Today’s unpopular opinion was that vegans are right.
In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans to name something they’d miss the most if they were vegan. Later, we looked at how Roombas are apparently filling an emotional vacuum for their owners.
