Engineer of Technologies, a FIRST ® LEGO® League (FLL) Community-based LEGO Robotics Coach of 2 Teams, a former FIRST ® Senior Mentor, a Capstone Instructional Coordinator, and a K12 Instructor/Technical Coach covering Memphis, TN & the surrounding Tri-State area. Phillips has a passion for
Engineering, Technology, and all things STREAM/STEAM/STEM-based. With over 38 years of experience in various Information Technology fields, Phillips gladly shares his knowledge with others. This information-sharing is evident from his time as an Adjunct Instructor at Remington College (formerly Southeast College of Technology), Vatterott College (On-Site & On-Line), Junior Achievement of Memphis, CodeCrew, FIRST, and several hands-on workshops and presentations throughout the Tri-State community (TN, AR, & MS). Currently, Phillips has been working for the past 5-Years on a committee in starting “Fair Break
Federal Credit Union” and acquired their Full Charter on May 30th, 2024. Fair Break FCU will be in Full-service capacity in the 3rd Quarter of 2025.

Beginnings: Mr. Randall C. Phillips was born in Chicago, IL, USA, and currently lives in Bartlett, TN. Phillips is an entrepreneur of two businesses, a for-profit named “CLP, Inc. Systems” (CLP=Computer Language People) where he is a Networking/Computing/IT Consultant, and a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charitable organization named “The LOL Shoppe, Inc.” (LOL=Life of Learning) where he is the LEGO® Robotics Coach & Trainer supporting STREAM/STEAM/STEM.

Volunteerism: Phillips volunteers under FIRST as a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge & Explore Robotics Coach for a set community-based Teams, and He serves as a Business Mentor for a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team that is under the Main Memphis public library for the Cloud901 program. In addition to those teams, he has mentored his HS Alum Forrest City High School's FRC Team in Forrest City, AR, and had mentored a previous FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Team in Olive Branch, MS & future VEX Robotics assistance hosted by Mentoring Youth Through Technology (MYTT), plus looking forward to VEX Robotics & SeaPerch and/or MATE ROV (Underwater Robotics [ROV=Remotely Operated Vehicle]).

Personal Life: Phillips has been married to his wife, Leslie, for 24 years. They have a son, LaZerek, who is an Alabama A&M University graduate, a daughter, Jewyl, a 2nd year college student at MTSU, and another daughter, Sasha, currently in the 7th Grade at Elmore Park MS in Bartlett.
Phillips has high values and expectations for himself and for others around him. His ethics and high expectations have guided his career path to lead him and to lift others to the next level of achievement. Phillips is continuing to look into the future and cannot wait to see or predict what will be next!
