    2024/08/15

Welcome to another episode of the Confident Faith Connection podcast!

Hosted by Justin Langhill & Megan Doherty. In this episode, we dive deep into the latest sermon from Elevation Church, drawing powerful insights from Judges 6:22-29 to help us break free from the bondage of wrong belief.

Episode Overview: In a world where doubt and fear often overshadow our faith, it’s crucial to remember that God won’t let you break up with Him—no matter how far you stray. This episode reminds us of God’s relentless love and His desire to hear us pray, encouraging us to do what we inherently know is right in His sight.

    Key Takeaways:

Breaking the Bondage of Wrong Belief: “God & I Got Back Together” – Even when we try to distance ourselves, God remains steadfast. He wants us to keep praying and stay connected to Him.

Recency Bias: Don’t let recent challenges make you forget the God who has brought you through past trials. Every season, even the ones that feel wasted, teaches us something valuable. Identifying Your Midianites: Who are the “Midianites” in your life? Those challenges that seem insurmountable can be overcome by grace, through faith. Remember, you’ve been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Facing Fear with Faith: The next step in your journey will likely be met with fear, but God’s promise remains: “You are not going to die.” As you rebuild, He will guide you, showing you the path through every trial.

Building Godly Habits: Stack new habits that align with God’s priorities. The peace God gives is sustainable only when we keep our focus on Him. Breaking old habits that distract from God’s plan is essential to maintaining this peace.

  • Review of Steven Furtick Elevation Church Sermon // Running For A Reason
    2024/08/08

In this week's Podcast, we dive into Steven Furtick's powerful sermon, "Running For A Reason," delivered at Elevation Church.

This message resonates deeply with those of us running the race of faith, reminding us that our purpose is fueled by passion, not performance. If you enjoyed this review, make sure to like the video and subscribe.

    Key Takeaways from the Sermon:

Covered by Love: "We love because He first loved us." Like the Prodigal Son, God runs toward us, covering us with His grace and love.

Running with Purpose: We are called to "run in such a way as to get the prize," even if we don't win every time. It's not about the results but the reason behind our race.

Run at Your Pace: God has a unique path for each of us. Don't compare your race to others—focus on the journey God has set before you.

Faith in Action: "Do it from a place of passion, not performance." Whether you're confident or confused, God honors the effort you make from the heart. Be the one who runs toward challenges, not away from them. Take risks in faith, even if you're stepping out in doubt.

God’s Timing and Provision: "Jesus said, you don’t understand what I do for you now, but you will later." Trust God's timing, even when it doesn’t make sense now. God often sends help in unexpected forms. Be open to receiving the unfamiliar, as it might be the answer to your prayers.

Overcoming Fear and Doubt: Fear is like a deer—small compared to the power God has given you. The enemy hopes you'll stay trapped in fear, but God’s strength in you is greater than your doubts and insecurities. "Every king will have caves." Don't let your current situation define your identity. God anointed you for a purpose, even in the hardest times.

Praise in the Place You Are: "Don’t waste your cave—learn from the territory." Even in difficult situations, praise God and trust that He is preparing you for greater things. You are anointed and covered, no matter who acknowledges it. God sees your consistency and strength, and He is using you for His glory.

  • Review of Steven Furtick's Sermon: It's the Motion That Matters
    2024/08/01

Welcome to the first episode of the Confident Faith Connection Podcast, hosted by Elevation E-Group leader Justin Langhill. Today, we explore Steven Furtick's impactful sermon, "It's the Motion That Matters," from Elevation Church. Furtick challenges us to act on our faith, even in uncertainty, reminding us that the journey itself is significant.

    Key Points from the Sermon:

    Stepping Out in Doubt:

    • "Walk by faith, not by sight." Faith often requires action without clear visibility, similar to jumping off a cliff to learn how to fly.
    • Impress God by continuing forward, even with doubts, demonstrating conviction over confidence.

    Spiritual Actions:

    • Behold: Observe God's work.
    • Believe: Trust in God's promises.
    • Behave: Act in faith, even if it disrupts your comfort.

    Faith Beyond Senses:

    • Relying on human senses can mislead; true faith involves trusting beyond what we see or feel.
    • Moses and Peter exemplify leaders who acted despite doubts, highlighting that moving forward is more important than moving quickly.

    Faith as a Behavior:

    • Consistency in actions is key; it's about living out faith daily, not just feeling it.
    • We can still teach others while we are growing and learning ourselves.

    Overcoming Doubt:

    • The devil tries to keep us stuck in the past; we must focus on moving forward.
    • Doubt can be a call to action, urging us to trust God and take steps of faith.
