  • First Kinsey Soderberg Said “Ew” to AI Ep 46: Then She Built a Successful Business on It.
    2026/10/01

☕ Coffee Playdate Podcast with Kinsey Soderberg
Kinsey is founder of Authentic AI and co-founder of Her AI Era / Her AI Club, teaching women entrepreneurs to use AI without sounding like a robot.

She was not an early fan. “I don’t need a robot to write my emails.” Then the light went on: AI is not the problem. How humans use it is. Authenticity was already her core value. AI became the through-line.

Sister brand, then a full pivot

She ran her original business for ~five years, launched Authentic AI as a sister brand (trademark, Instagram, SEO), walked her audience over, then let the first brand go.

    Partnership origin

She met Joyce Hamilton in The Mixer Mind. Joyce hired her to brand Only Boldly. They co-hosted the first Her AI Era Summit (~3,500 attendees), each launched a membership, then merged into Her AI Club within a month. More success together than either had alone. Women are less likely to take on business partners. They did it anyway.

    Mindset

Copying Jenna Kutcher / Amy Porterfield left her exhausted. Showing up as herself made the work feel like play. You do not have to know every AI update. Pick a lane. Be 10% ahead of the people you serve.

    Human bits

Surprise Iceland camper-van trip for her husband’s 40th (she cannot keep a secret). BTS birthday shirt for Joyce, who had ChatGPT build a concert study guide.

  • Where There’s Gratitude, There’s No Fear Ep 45: Dr. Pradnya Mitroo on Private GI Practice
    2026/09/24

☕ Coffee Playdate Podcast with Dr. Pradnya Mitroo

Dr. Pradnya Mitroo is a gastroenterologist in Fresno and President of Fresno Digestive Health. She grew up in New Jersey, trained at Mount Sinai and Thomas Jefferson, and built a career around a simple why: her mom lived with GI illness and never got the care she needed — especially as a woman.

She drinks tea, not coffee. Black tea, cardamom, no sugar.

    The path
She almost stayed in academics and clinical-trials research. Politics and a lack of impact pushed her west in 2007. She joined a solo GI (rare on the East Coast), grew a largely female patient panel (about 90% women, plus their husbands and sons), then became an owner. The group later consolidated. Her point: independent practice still exists if you treat it as a business.

    What she is proud of
Quality at a lower price than hospital-based care. Outpatient ASCs can run about a third of hospital procedure cost. Autonomy beats a hospital job — she says she would leave medicine before she would work for a hospital.

The hard part they never taught
Insurance cuts every year. You have to innovate. Med school taught GI, not how to run a practice. If the practice is not viable, you cannot take care of patients the way you want. Culture is part of that: gratitude journals for staff, first 10 minutes of the day, mini retreats since COVID, reminder that they are not “pushing papers” — they are saving lives. Staff voice = retention. Turnover is expensive.

    Advice
Get a mentor. You will not see every pitfall. Failure teaches more than a win.

    Book
Who Not How — it is the who, not the how. Extraordinary life is built on extraordinary connections, not only achievements.

  • Your Symptoms Are Real and You’re Not Crazy Ep 44: Dr. Boram Han on Menopause Care
    2026/09/17

☕ Coffee Playdate Podcast with Dr. Boram Han

Dr. Boram Han is back. Internist, obesity-medicine physician, and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner in Boston. She treats menopause and midlife weight together, teaches residents how to prescribe hormone therapy, wrote on midlife weight for the Women for Women anthology, and runs Hormone Lab, a menopause book club for Korean American women.

    What we cover

    • Perimenopause = fluctuating hormones and symptoms (can last years). Menopause = 12 months after the last period. Postmenopause = the new, more stable chapter.
    • Quieter symptoms: joint pain, brain fog, memory worry, anxiety — not only hot flashes.
    • Hormone therapy’s, newer evidence is more reassuring for many healthy women closer to menopause (often within ~10 years / under 60).
    • Midlife weight: falling estrogen shifts fat from hips/thighs toward visceral belly fat and raises insulin resistance. That is biology, not laziness.

    Her advice
Your symptoms are real. You are not crazy. Do not suffer quietly. Start the conversation. If your doctor is uncomfortable, ask for a referral. Use The Menopause Society practitioner directory.
