Jesus didn't tell the story of the Good Samaritan simply to encourage kindness—He revealed what the Kingdom of God looks like when love overcomes prejudice and mercy triumphs over division. As followers of Christ, we're called to move the fences we've built, extend grace beyond familiar boundaries, and become people who help reconcile others to God and to one another.

Every one of us is making decisions right now that will shape the rest of our lives. The question isn't whether you'll seek counsel — the question is where you'll find it.

This is Part 2 of our three-part series, Hearing the Voice of God. Today's message — "Seeking God's Counsel" — takes us to one of the most instructive moments in the life of King David. He had finally been anointed king over all Israel. He had military experience, influence, and every advisor in the ancient world at his disposal. And the very first thing he did when the Philistines came for him was this: he inquired of the Lord.

David's greatest problem was never the Philistines. It was deciding what to do next. And that's exactly where most of us live.

• Will I Seek AGAIN? — When the Philistines returned to the same valley, David didn't assume yesterday's strategy guaranteed today's victory. He sought God again. C.S. Lewis said, "Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done." Seeking God again is not weakness — it is wisdom.

• Will I Follow FULLY? — David didn't just receive God's counsel. He reordered his entire strategy around it — even when the instructions were unconventional. Victory followed obedience, not military competence. The Bible intentionally places obedience before victory.

We also look at George Müller, who cared for more than 10,000 orphans by seeking God for every need, and Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, whose faith-shaped humility transformed one of the world's largest companies from the inside out.
