  • Mimi Anderson: Endurance, Strength and Starting Again
    2026/08/08

For Episode 2, host Chloe Mistry, joined by Nikki Love, sits down with Mimi Anderson—endurance athlete, author and motivational speaker whose adventures have taken her through deserts, jungles and the Arctic.

Mimi shares how she first stepped onto a treadmill for the rather honest reason that she wanted thinner legs. She could barely run at first, but one mile became three, then ten—and each new experience gave her more evidence that perhaps she was capable of more than she thought.

She talks openly about living with an eating disorder, learning to value strength over thinness, the mental tools that helped her through difficult patches and the difference between wanting to quit and knowing when stopping is the right decision.

Mimi also explains why losing long-distance running felt like grief and how she found adventure again through cycling—even though she signed up for her first major cycling challenge before she owned a bike.

It is an honest, warm and frequently funny conversation about body image, self-belief, setbacks and adapting when the original plan is no longer possible.

You don’t need to run through a desert or cycle the length of Britain to chase your extraordinary. Sometimes it simply begins with putting on your trainers, trying five minutes and taking the next small step.

Hosted by Chloe Mistry, with Nikki Love.
