We all have our bad days, and we all can get to some pretty dark places, but when you get to rock bottom how do you come back to the surface? Lauren Nelson hit rock bottom two years ago... in fact,  she hit rock bottom exactly two years to the day we sat down and talked, but from the darkest day of Lauren's life came the birth of a real life super hero. Lauren has survived child hood cancer, sexual assault, a miscarriage, and a suicide attempt and yet she still found a way to to become a beacon of hope in the last two years for anyone in need. 

Out of the darkness came Roar Philanthropy, an endeavor that Lauren started to help those in need. She creates lion cub care packages for children and their families going through cancer, she hand makes bracelets of hope to help raise money for these families, she even goes as far as dressing up as a super hero and showing up to give children the smile they desperately need.
