Chapter Five finds the Trollskull adventurers battered but triumphant after tearing down the scarecrow abominations that terrorized the farmstead. Their victory leads them back to a twisted cottage, where Rechima—the kindly face of a three-in-one hag—reveals a darker agenda, binding Zae with a lingering curse and demanding they track down the elusive dwarf Ignus to secure her freedom. In exchange, she promises the only cure for Zae’s affliction, steering the party toward a hidden shortcut through the woods. Under moonlight, they discover a serene waterfall camp and steel themselves for the journey into the Misty Forest. Yet behind Rechima’s wavering smile lies a web of sacrifices and ancient rites, hinting that the true battle against a long-dead dragon may only just be beginning.
