In the heart of Waterdeep, inside the infamous Yawning Portal tavern, a group of unlikely strangers find themselves pulled together by fate, ale, and a shared desire for glory. Meet Sylvester the sly tabaxi, Loriska the sharp-eyed tinkerer, Eisa the dreamy gnome druid, Zae the cryptic changeling, and Leopold the ever-scheming warlock as they navigate the bustle of adventurer culture, duels, and unexpected friendships.

After a brawl (and a surprisingly effective use of public urination), the group finds themselves face-to-face with a troll, a handful of stirges, and a man with far too much confidence in his mustache—Volothamp Geddarm, or “Volo,” who offers coin and a mission: find his missing friend, Floon.

From the tavern’s chaos to the shadowed alleys of the Dock Ward, the party begins their first real journey. Stops include a cannon-happy hippofolk shopkeep with questionable safety practices, a fully purple curiosity shop run by a deep gnome with a smoking habit, and finally... a ruined tavern known as the Skewered Dragon, watched from above by a shape-shifting figure that may or may not be watching for someone else.

Mystery is in the air, the trail is growing cold, and the real danger hasn’t even started yet.
