Hello and welcome to episode 2 of the Social Media Marketing + Mind set podcast. 

Today I’m going to be talking about my journey from Corporate Marketing Officer to Social Media Specialist and Business Owner. 

After I graduated university in 2006, I spend a year teaching English in Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. I studied Japanese throughout my school years and continued in University with a Minor in Japanese. The experience in Japan was nothing I could ever had imagined. It was a life changer for me, and it allowed me to come out of my shell and truly be me. 

Once I returned home from the one-year teaching, I knew I didn’t want to waste too much time getting myself into a career in marketing. I didn’t want to waste my degree and knew I just had to apply for whatever jobs came up. I was very fortunate to land my first marketing job as the National Marketing Coordinator for Oak Hotels & Resorts (now Minor International) 

I have been growing as a person and also my business with the support of my business mentor and working with my clients.

Today I’m going to be talking about how Social Media + Mindset are connected. 

Over the past few episodes, you may have been asking yourself, when is she actually going to start talking more about social media. What is all the mindset, discovering your why, being an introvert etc have to do with social media?

Like anyone business, we want to be successful right? And the definition of success can mean many things, depending on what it is you want to achieve. Whether it be financial success, personal success, success with reaching a milestone or a goal. 

When we look at the whole picture, anything we do in our life is a decision we have made, right? Whether it’s done consciously or unconsciously.

Now, when we want to succeed in business, our mindset plays a significant role in how we grow and move forward to reach our full potential. 

Same goes with marketing ourselves and businesses on social media. Our mindset is what will get us to where we want to be. However, depending on what mindset you have will determine exactly how far.

Hello and welcome to episode 5 of the Social Media Marketing + Mindset podcast. 

Today I’m going to be talking about being an introvert and how believing in yourself and what you do can help you to overcome this, become more confident and show up on social media to create a thriving business. 

I have been an introvert my entire life. From as young as I can remember I have always been very shy. 

I found that I grew as a person and became more self-aware and more confident when I moved overseas. The necessity of being self-sufficient and independent was clearly what I needed to push myself and grow and as they say “come out of my shell”.

 Being an introvert is definitely hard when you are wanting to grow your business on social media, and the sheer thought of having to show your face and talk to your audience on stories, or via video can be very daunting. But knowing, acknowledging, and accepting that this is who you are means that you can do something about it. 

I see so many women in my shoes who know they want to thrive and have a successful business on social media, but being an introvert is only going to get them so far. That’s why I’m here to coach you to be a happier, confident, successful businesswomen, to overcome your limiting beliefs and to give you the strength you need to succeed on social media.
