In the early morning hours of December 14, 2006, 55-year-old James Langley woke up to excruciating pain and realized he was on fire. He managed to extinguish himself as his wife went next door to get help. He would be transported to the hospital but would sadly pass away 12 days later. During the investigation, detectives would soon learn that there was someone who had a motive to hurt James and it was someone who they initially wouldn’t have suspected. 1. Jose Cortez, 39, was arrested in the Mexican city of Iztacalco, after raping and murdering a 17-year-old. After further investigation, he was found to be a serial killer, and named by some as the Mexican Jeffrey Dahmer.
2. Murad Dervish was arrested after shooting and killing Thomas Meixner outside his office at the University of Arizona. Murad had been previously expelled from university where he was a graduate student.
3. The remains that were found in a chimney in 2011 were finally Identified as that of 26-year-old marine, Joseph Schexnider, who disappeared in 1984.

In the early morning hours of December 8, 2000, 22-year-old Trevor Deely was walking home from a night out. He was still planning on going to work that morning, Friday, but unfortunately, he never showed up. When he didn't show up again on Monday, his family was contacted, and the search for Trevor began. Investigators would find CCTV footage of Trevor making a stop at his workplace before heading home but nothing would come of it. Story 2. A now-former teacher of Klein HISD, Kedria M. Grigsby, was arrested and charged with compelling prostitution of someone under 18 and sex trafficking a child. She recruited girls from her job at Klein HISD to work for her and her son.

Story 3. Angelina Belinda Calderon and Fernando Vega were arrested recently and charged with two counts each of injury to a child's serious bodily injury after their 1-month-old twins were pronounced dead in their home on October 4, 2023.
