  • Moripane Village! My Origin! My Beginning!
    2023/02/12

This episode (poem) takes me to the beginning of my life journey in the little rural village of Moripane, outside Jane Furse, under Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, in the Sekhukhune District of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. This village is the stage on which my childhood movie plays. It offers me a sense of belonging and personal identity. Our communal life defined this beginning. We were poor yet blessed with the abundance mentality and sharing lifestyle that helped us cope with life's challenges. The village had abundant love, togetherness, culture, tradition, and practices. It gave us leaders in all spheres of our lives. I got my early inspiration from this little rural village of Moripane. It was not designed to become a great village. But the spirit of its villagers was just too big. They contributed their hard-earned funds to the good of the primary school and the community as a whole. Read more about this village in Chapter 4 - The Beginning, in my book, Holistic CAREER Development COACHING and MENTORSHIP Perspective! The Insights from my Personal and Professional Development Journey! It is published by Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), amazon.com/author/coach-samtsima-2023. This is the first book in the series, COACHING and MENTORSHIP Professional Development, and comes in three different editions, namely, eBook, Hardcover, and Paperback.

  • Why I Wrote This First Book (2023)?
    2023/01/31

The reason I wrote this first book, Holistic CAREER Development COACHING and MENTORSHIP Perspective! The Insights from my Personal and Professional Development Journey! and why the series, COACHING and MENTORSHIP PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, at Amazon, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).

Life is like a chain with a serial assembly of connected pieces called links, typically made of metal. These links have an overall character similar to a rope in that it is flexible and curved in compression but linear, rigid, and load-bearing in tension. The chain could have two or more links (Wikipedia definition of a chain). Our lives are like that. We have a never-ending connection with the generations before and after us. That chain of life made of generations cannot and must never be broken if humanity is to be preserved. Therefore, the various generations in our life are like chain links and ensure the continuity of the communities, society, and world nations.

There is a famous idiomatic expression in my Sepedi language that goes this way, “Rutang bana ditaola, le se ye le tsona badimong”. We must teach the children the ins and outs of traditional healing practices before we die and leave this earthly life. The message here is that we are all tasked to transfer our knowledge, insights, experiences, wisdom, and all other inheritances from generations before us and those we accumulated to the generations after us. This includes preserving the resources, infrastructure, amenities, and facilities. That is the main objective of my writing and the series.

Our talk shows aim to affirm and support businessmen and -women, entrepreneurs, and professionals in their personal and professional journey of bringing a difference to the world. These are talk shows that recognise excellence and greatness. We have a network of associates, members and stakeholders who know our quality standards and therefore make recommendations to our production team. The conversations become a life-long account of our guests' work. The stories also aim to tell the humane side of these businessmen and - women, entrepreneurs, and professionals by demonstrating that they are not extraordinary human beings. They, too, started from humble beginnings. We can all emulate them. We are building a solid ecosystem of businessmen and -women, entrepreneurs and professionals committed to empowering others, collaborating across sectors, sharing insights and knowledge, building a base for succession and inheritance, and safeguarding the legacies for generations after us. That is our duty and responsibility. We want potential customers to know about the products, services, and solutions available in the ecosystem. This is an Enterprise & Professional Development Programme (EPDP) Initiative that knows no borders. Music played by COMETSA Radio Worldwide (CRW) is the genre of jazz and classic and appeals to all the people of the world. 2022/11/28

CONDUCT 13 - NO EATING: Avoid eating during the show. The listeners will pick it up that you are eating. Only drinking is allowed but keeps liquids far from the equipment.

CONDUCT 14 - FOCUS: Pretend you are entering the physical studio, and do not allow anyone around you to obstruct your attention. Suppose you let that, you will lose your trail of thought. That can be embarrassing for you, and you will lose the respect of the listeners.

CONDUCT 15 - MOBILE PHONE: Keep your mobile silent, not vibrate. The listeners will hear your mobile phone when it vibrates. Don’t try to check your incoming text messages and notifications during the show. You may pick up disturbing notifications that will throw you out of balance.

CONDUCT 16 - AUTHENTICITY: Be authentic and original as a host or co-host. Do not choreograph the show. Let the show take its natural flow. Yours is to set the framework and parameters within which your show will be allowed to fluctuate. Allow the highs and lows during the show. Let the listeners feel the emotions generated by the participants in the show.

  • Repeat - Part 2, Module 5, Online Radio DJs and Podcasters Dev Program
    2022/11/21

OPENING & WELCOME: Introductions, Checking-In, Reflection on Lecture 4/Module 4, Progress Update, and Statistics on Individual Shows

CONDUCT 9 - FOLLOW UP: Follow up on inputs to verify views. A good listener host will recognise new or alternative feedback offered by the guest and follow up with the guest to unpack it more. Moving away from new insightful inputs is an interference with the learning process. Hence following up on new thoughts is one of the great qualities of facilitators and hosts of the shows.

CONDUCT 10 - CHALLENGE RESPECTFULLY: You are required and expected to challenge any inputs and thoughts that are not supported by evidence. However, it would be best if you challenged the guests respectfully.

CONDUCT 11 - DEBATES vs ARGUMENTS: Allow debates but do not enter destructive arguments. It is healthy to debate, but disagreements must lead to resolving issues. The LEKGOTLA Conversation Methodology is appropriate for facilitating discussions and resolving disputes. We will continue holding LEKGOTLA sessions to build capacity among our DJs and Broadcasters.

CONDUCT 12 - LISTENING: As a facilitator, the host speaks less a listen more. Expand on the thoughts and inputs from the guests rather than being the ones introducing new ideas. Don’t talk too much and overshadow your guests and co-hosts.
