What an incredibly fruitful Easter weekend we had all across the C3 movement! Streams of visitors walking through the doors of services and thousands of people coming to Christ. This week’s podcast is a timely equip session as Ps Phil Pringle and Ps Shaun White (C3 Hobart) discuss how we can turn decisions into disciples. We would encourage you to share this with your team, be encourage by C3 Hobart’s breakthrough in this area of church life, and pray about how you can refresh the heart of this conversation and systems of taking decisions to disciples in your church.

DECISIONS TO DISCIPLES

While salvation is a moment, discipleship is a journey. Just as a newborn baby needs constant care and nurturing to grow, new believers require ongoing support and guidance to develop in their faith. We’re called to ‘walk the journey’ with new believers, meeting them where they are and helping them grow. Be encouraged to move beyond simply celebrating decisions for Christ, but instead to actively invest in people’s spiritual growth, and create multiple ‘points of connection’ for new believers, ensuring they have a strong support system within the church community. This approach not only helps establish new believers in their faith but also reflects the love and care of Christ to those who may be experiencing His grace for the first time.

In this Easter message to the movement, Ps Phil Pringle explores the profound impact of Jesus’ death and resurrection, focusing on seven areas of freedom that Christ secured for believers through His sacrifice on the cross. Jesus’ work not only addresses sin but also brings healing, deliverance from evil, prosperity, breaking of curses, freedom from self, and separation from worldly afflictions.

We prayer this message would be a powerful reminder of all Christ accomplished for us. The many names and titles of Jesus underscore His supremacy and the hope He offers to all who believe.

For the good of the city. In the midst of some of the most devastating fires LA has ever seen, Cathedral Church, became an epicentre for hope, transforming into a drive-through distribution centre providing fire relief supplies to the people of their city. In this weeks podcast join Ps Phil and he sits down with Ps Jake Sweetman to discuss this incredible story.

Within 72 hours, the Cathedral Church community, with the support of other local churches, mobilised over 400 volunteers, and served over 1000 families with fresh water, hot meals, groceries and prayer. This is a story of how the church can respond in crisis, combining both practical and spiritual support, and become a catalyst for community flourishing - truly fulfilling the call to be a city on a hill, and a light in the dark. This is a story of the mighty church of Jesus in action - not just preaching hope, but being hope - a living, breathing community ready to respond to those in need.

Where there’s helplessness, there’s harvest. Where there’s pain, there’s an opportunity for Jesus to heal. A truly inspiring story and encouragement for every church.

Drive Through Impact Summary:
People Served: 1,032 individuals, from those who lost groceries due to the power outage all the way to those who have lost their homes.
Outreach Efforts: Teams were sent to gas stations, parking lots, and street corners to spread the word.
Life-Changing Support: A family of three was living in their car due to the fires, in line with 2 flat tires, received four new tires and a trunk full of supplies.
Community Involvement: Six neighbours from our street came to serve alongside us.
Door-to-Door Assistance: Knocked on every door in the surrounding area to offer help.
Cleanup Efforts: Helped clean up people’s yards.
Prayer: Prayed with every car that came through, offering spiritual support alongside physical assistance.
Church Unity: 7 different churches unified together

As always Ps Chris centres us in the heart of who we are. In this beautiful message Ps Chris reflects on the divine connections that surround us in life and ministry. Our tribe, our people.

Jesus set the model for us. "I pray for those you have given me." We have a burden for world revival but lets first take a look at who God has given us. Paul was personally connected, and in relationship with his tribe, his people. His writings reveal his love for his trusted proven brothers and sisters, he knew and loved personally. He named them. An outpouring of gratitude from his heart.

“Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.” - Romans 16:16 ESV

"Long live the footnotes. Long live the runts and the misfits. We are not in competition with one another. We bind together. Support and protect one another. We are the tribe of C3."
