Most companies aren’t spending too little on AI. They’re spending it in the wrong places. Basware CEO Jason Kurtz cites an automaker that spent 18 months building a custom expense-reporting system that a specialist product could have delivered in about 12 weeks, at one-tenth the cost. What can't be copied is a company's well-structured data, the complex integrations built on it and the relationships of trust that give access to it.
