  • Disney Dining Plan: Was it Actually Worth It?
    2026/09/05

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're tackling one of the biggest questions when planning a Walt Disney World holiday – is the Disney Dining Plan actually worth the money?

After using the Disney Dining Plan throughout our recent Walt Disney World trip, we're looking back at how it worked for our family and, most importantly, whether we actually got our money's worth!

We chat about why we decided to add the Dining Plan to our holiday, how we used our table-service, quick-service and snack credits, and whether having our meals paid for in advance made the holiday easier. We'll also share where we think we got brilliant value – and where we might have been better off simply paying for our food ourselves.

From character dining and table-service restaurants to quick-service meals, Mickey Premium Bars and those all-important snack credits, we're looking at what we actually ate and asking whether our choices would have been different if we'd been paying out of pocket.

We also discuss how well the Dining Plan worked with 4-year-old Little B, whether the refillable resort mugs were genuinely useful, and the inevitable end-of-holiday mission to make sure no credits went to waste!

Then it's time for the big verdict: how much would our food have cost without the Dining Plan, how much did the plan cost us, and did we actually save any money?

And, as always, we finish with another quick-fire round covering our favourite meal, best snack, best restaurant for Little B, Mickey Premium Bar vs Dole Whip and the ultimate question…

Disney Dining Plan: YES or NO?

Whether you're planning your first Walt Disney World holiday or debating whether to add the Dining Plan to your next trip, we hope our experience helps you decide whether it's right for your family.

  • To DVC or not to DVC?
    2026/05/30

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're diving into one of the biggest Disney decisions we've ever made — joining Disney Vacation Club (DVC)!

We share how we first discovered DVC during our honeymoon back in 2017, why we loved the idea but weren't quite ready to take the plunge, and what changed in 2024 that finally made us become members. From the financial side of the decision to travelling as a family with little B, we discuss the factors that made DVC the right choice for us.

We'll also talk about the benefits we've already experienced as DVC members, how it's changed the way we holiday at Disney, and our plans for making the most of our membership in the years ahead.

Plus, we wrap things up with a fun DVC-themed quick-fire round, including our favourite resorts, dream stays and whether our honeymoon selves would believe we'd become members one day!

Whether you're a current DVC member, considering joining, or simply curious about what it's all about, we hope our experience helps you decide whether DVC might be right for your family.
