  • Disney Dining Plan: Was it Actually Worth It?
    2026/09/05

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're tackling one of the biggest questions when planning a Walt Disney World holiday – is the Disney Dining Plan actually worth the money?

After using the Disney Dining Plan throughout our recent Walt Disney World trip, we're looking back at how it worked for our family and, most importantly, whether we actually got our money's worth!

We chat about why we decided to add the Dining Plan to our holiday, how we used our table-service, quick-service and snack credits, and whether having our meals paid for in advance made the holiday easier. We'll also share where we think we got brilliant value – and where we might have been better off simply paying for our food ourselves.

From character dining and table-service restaurants to quick-service meals, Mickey Premium Bars and those all-important snack credits, we're looking at what we actually ate and asking whether our choices would have been different if we'd been paying out of pocket.

We also discuss how well the Dining Plan worked with 4-year-old Little B, whether the refillable resort mugs were genuinely useful, and the inevitable end-of-holiday mission to make sure no credits went to waste!

Then it's time for the big verdict: how much would our food have cost without the Dining Plan, how much did the plan cost us, and did we actually save any money?

And, as always, we finish with another quick-fire round covering our favourite meal, best snack, best restaurant for Little B, Mickey Premium Bar vs Dole Whip and the ultimate question…

Disney Dining Plan: YES or NO?

Whether you're planning your first Walt Disney World holiday or debating whether to add the Dining Plan to your next trip, we hope our experience helps you decide whether it's right for your family.

  • We're Back! Walt Disney World 2026 Trip Report: Part 2
    2026/08/22

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're picking up exactly where we left off in Part 1 and heading straight to Typhoon Lagoon! We chat about experiencing a Disney water park with 4-year-old Little B, what he loved, how we found the famous wave pool and whether Typhoon Lagoon will make it onto our itinerary again in the future.

Then it's off to EPCOT! From rides and food to exploring World Showcase, we share our favourite moments and talk about how experiencing EPCOT has changed now we're visiting as a family.

Next up is Hollywood Studios, where we're talking Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, rides, shows, food and some of our favourite Little B moments from the trip. We also tackle the big question: just how good is Hollywood Studios for a 4-year-old?

We slow things down with a visit to Disney Springs for some food and shopping, before facing the part of every Walt Disney World holiday that nobody wants to talk about... going home! ✈️🇬🇧

We share our experience of packing up, saying goodbye to the magic, flying back to the UK. And, as always, we finish with another quick-fire round.
