He has led major reforms to advance children’s welfare in Ukraine and is co-founder and head of Save Ukraine, an organization that rescues children from conflict zones. He served as Commissioner for Children’s Rights and headed the Kyiv Children’s Service. Mykola, the organization's founder and CEO, and Anastasiia Dovbnia, responsible for government relations at Save Ukraine, discuss the ongoing efforts to rescue Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, particularly in occupied territories. Save Ukraine has rescued around 680 children, focusing on the most vulnerable, including orphans and those subjected to militarization, trafficking, or sexual abuse.
