  • Swing Big: Lessons from Babe Ruth and My Dad
    2025/11/02

This episode is close to my heart. In honor of my dad’s birthday, I’m sharing one of his greatest lessons, the Babe Ruth mindset: you can’t hold the record for home runs without also holding the record for strikeouts.

In life and business, we all hesitate because we fear failure. But the truth is, confidence grows every time you swing, miss, and try again. I’ll share how this philosophy shaped my courage as a speaker, entrepreneur, and coach, and how you can use it to move past hesitation and into bold action.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why courage matters more than perfection
    • How failure becomes feedback
    • How to redefine success as action, not outcome

    Brave Move:
Write down one “strikeout” from this year and the lesson it taught you, then plan your next big swing.

  • Empathy in Action: Expanding Our Capacity to Care
    2025/11/01

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m talking about empathy, not as a buzzword, but as a brave leadership skill.

With millions of Americans facing food insecurity due to the government shutdown, I’ve been reflecting on how empathy is more than “feeling bad for someone.” It’s about showing up with compassion, presence, and action.

We’ll explore how empathy expands confidence, how to care without carrying the world on your shoulders, and why leadership that leads with heart is what our world needs most right now.

    You’ll learn:

    • The difference between sympathy and empathy
    • How empathy builds stronger leadership and confidence
    • Small ways to take compassionate action without burning out

    Brave Move:
Do one act of empathy today, listen, give, or acknowledge someone’s struggle with care.

  • The Confidence Curve – What to Do When Growth Feels Awkward
    2025/10/30

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m talking about something most people don’t: the uncomfortable in-between stage where growth feels awkward, uncertain, and messy.

You know the feeling… you’ve started to make progress, but suddenly everything feels off. You second-guess yourself. You wonder if you’re doing it wrong. You question whether you’re really cut out for this new chapter. That, my friend, is the Confidence Curve. The part of growth that no one warns you about but everyone goes through.

I’ll share why this phase is actually a sign that you’re evolving, not failing, and how to ride the curve instead of quitting halfway through. We’ll talk about what happens in your brain during change, why discomfort is proof of progress, and how to reframe that “ugh” feeling into evidence that you’re building something new.

    Here’s what I’ll cover:

    • 🌱 Why confidence always dips before it grows
    • 💡 How to recognize when you’re in the messy middle, and not give up
    • 🔁 The mindset shift that turns discomfort into momentum
    • 🧭 How to trust yourself when progress doesn’t feel pretty

If you’ve ever wondered why taking action sometimes feels harder after you start — this episode is for you. Growth isn’t supposed to feel graceful; it’s supposed to feel real.

    Takeaway:
Confidence isn’t the absence of discomfort — it’s your ability to keep going through it. Awkward means you’re growing.

If you’re ready to ride your own Confidence Curve with more clarity and less self-doubt, I’d love to help.

  • Micro Momentum – The Magic of Tiny Habits and Brave Moves
    2025/10/29

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m inviting you to do something brave — not just listen, but take action.

We’ve spent the last few episodes diving deep into mindset shifts:
✨ In Episode 1, we tackled The When Trap, how waiting for the “perfect time” keeps us stuck.
💬 In Episode 2, we learned how to get honest with ourselves by separating Excuses from Explanations.
🚀 In Episode 3, we embraced Progress Over Perfection because done truly beats perfect every time.
🧠 And in Episode 4, we met our Inner Committee, those inner voices that sometimes take over the conversation in our minds.

Now it’s time to build micro momentum by putting these ideas into motion — one small, consistent step at a time.

I’ll share how to use my favorite behavior design tool — Tiny Habits® — to create habits that are so small you can’t fail. Because confidence isn’t built in one big leap, it’s built in those tiny moments when you show up for yourself, again and again.

    Here’s what I’ll cover:

    • 🌱 How to turn insights into simple, repeatable actions
    • 🧩 The psychology of micro momentum and why it works
    • 💪 How celebrating small wins rewires your brain for confidence
    • 🔁 How to create your own Tiny Habit® recipe using past lessons

Tiny Habit® Recipes from This Series:

    1. To Beat the When Trap:
After I think “I’ll start later,” I will take one small step — like writing down one sentence or sending one email.
    2. To Catch an Excuse in Action:
After I hear myself say “I don’t have time,” I will pause and ask, “What’s the real reason I’m hesitating?”
    3. To Choose Progress Over Perfection:
After I open my planner, I will pick one task I can finish today — even if it’s not perfect.
    4. To Quiet the Inner Committee:
When I feel myself overthinking, I take a deep breath and ask, “Who’s talking right now , my critic or my confident self?”

Each of these small steps helps you create micro momentum — the kind that builds confidence and consistency faster than waiting for motivation to magically appear.

    Takeaway:
Small actions done consistently change everything. When you start tiny, you train your brain to expect success, and that’s how a big transformation begins.

    Call to Action:
If you’re ready to design habits that actually stick and help you move from thinking to doing, let’s make it happen together.

  • Your Inner Committee – Who’s Really Making Your Decisions?
    2025/10/28

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m exploring something that’s been a game-changer for me: understanding my inner committee (inner bittie shitty committee).

You know that mental boardroom where the critic, the people-pleaser, and the overthinker all fight for the mic? Yep, that one. It’s crowded in there. And if you’ve ever found yourself second-guessing, over-analyzing, or spiraling before making a decision, you’re definitely not alone.

Psychologists call this your inner committee, a mix of parts within you that all mean well but often pull in different directions. In this episode, I break down what’s really happening when those internal voices get loud and how to lead yourself with more clarity, calm, and confidence.

I’ll share how the Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework by Dr. Richard Schwartz helps us understand the roles of these inner “parts”:

    • 👩‍💼 Managers — your inner perfectionists and protectors who want control and safety
    • 🔥 Firefighters — the impulsive parts that rush in to avoid pain or discomfort
    • 💔 Exiles — the tender, vulnerable parts carrying old wounds and fears

When you understand how these parts operate, you can stop letting them run the show and let your true Self — the calm, confident, compassionate part of you — take the lead.

    Here’s what I’ll cover:

    • 🧠 Why your mind feels like a debate club (and how to get everyone to cooperate)
    • 💬 How to recognize which “voice” is running your decisions
    • 💡 Why all your inner parts have good intentions, even the loud ones
    • ⚖️ How to quiet the noise and lead with your core, confident Self

This conversation is especially powerful for women juggling leadership, business, and personal growth — because confidence isn’t just about speaking up; it’s about knowing who inside you is doing the talking.

    Takeaway:
You can’t silence your inner committee, but you can learn to chair the meeting. True confidence comes from leading yourself with clarity and compassion.

    Call to Action:
If you’re ready to stop letting your inner critic, overthinker, or people-pleaser call the shots, I’d love to help you reconnect with your confident Self.

  • Progress Over Perfection – Why Done Beats Perfect Every Time
    2025/10/27

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m talking about something that hits close to home, perfectionism and how it quietly sabotages our progress.

For years, I told myself I couldn’t move forward until things were “just right.” The perfect website, the perfect launch, the perfect timing. But you know what I learned? Perfect never comes. And in chasing it, I lost valuable time that could have been spent learning, growing, and making real progress.

In this episode, I’ll share what shifted for me when I started focusing on done instead of perfect. I’ll also walk you through how progress, even the messy kind, builds absolute confidence and sustainable momentum.

    Here’s what I’ll cover:

    • 💡 Why perfectionism is just fear in disguise
    • 🧭 How chasing perfect keeps you from building confidence
    • 🚀 The mindset shift that helps you take faster, braver action
    • 🔁 How to celebrate “done” as a win — not a compromise (the 70%-30% rule)

If you’ve been stuck tweaking, editing, or planning yourself into paralysis, this episode is your reminder that movement creates clarity — not the other way around.

    Takeaway:
Confidence doesn’t come from doing things perfectly; it comes from taking imperfect action and trusting yourself to grow through it.

    Call to Action:
If you’re ready to stop getting lost in the details and finally start building momentum, let’s make it happen together.

  • Excuses vs. Explanations – The Subtle Art of Getting Honest with Yourself
    2025/10/26

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m diving into a topic that might sting a little: the difference between excuses and explanations.

We all do it. We say things like, “I don’t have time,” or “It’s not the right season,” and we sound perfectly reasonable… but if we’re honest, sometimes those explanations are really excuses in disguise.

I’ve been there, too. I’ve used busyness, doubt, or perfectionism to justify standing still. But the truth is, when we avoid taking responsibility for our growth, we give away our power.

In this episode, I’ll share how to recognize the difference between valid reasons and self-sabotage, and how getting radically honest with yourself can completely change your confidence, clarity, and results.

    Here’s what I’ll cover:

    • 💭 How to tell the difference between a real barrier and an emotional excuse
    • 💡 Why “I don’t have time” is often a cover for fear or lack of clarity
    • 🔍 What self-honesty looks like when you’re building confidence
    • 🔥 How taking ownership leads to faster growth and stronger results

This episode is for anyone ready to stop getting in their own way — especially if you’ve been spinning your wheels and wondering why you’re not making progress.

You can’t build confidence without honesty. The moment you stop making excuses and start telling yourself the truth, everything in your life begins to shift.

If you’re ready to stop rationalizing your stuckness and start building momentum, I’d love to help.
