  • S2 E4 – Grace Robinson: ‘I Thought I Would Never Hike Again'
    2025/06/04

Host Grover Silcox catches up with Grace Robinson, an energetic Poconos resident and outdoor enthusiast. Grace, 30, has had to contend with mitochondrial disease, a rare disease that impacts organ function. At age 20, the disease led to a variety of hospital stays for GI failure, heart failure, brain lesions and losing the ability to walk.

“I love to be active, and that was probably one of the hard things with being disabled, is not being able to do everything you want to,” Grace said.

It’s been a journey of perseverance for a decade, but Grace is now walking, remaining active and sharing her experience with others.

“Just hiking again has been really amazing.”
