  • Takeaways From A Shitty Club Championship Showing

This was a wild weekend for me. I love tournament golf because it reveals so much about your character, the state of your game and you get to see how you're going to show up. I did not play very well and as you will hear I had some profound takeaways from this weekend.

This first, I had an old golf story buried alive deep inside I had no idea was there. I guess it decided it was time to see the light. And, yeah, I cried...

The second, my lack of stellar play and playful griping at the scoring table lead me to an amazing two hour conversation with Gary Ward, General Manager of Mad River Golf Club. Gary is a very accomplished player and he was curious and kind enough to sit down to try and sort through what my on course challenges are. I learned a tremendous amount during this convo, as Gary was full of nuggets of wisdom and insights.

Although it was not the weekend I was expecting, like anything in life, it definitely feels like it was the weekend that was meant for me.

    Onward and upward - enjoy!

  • Golf & Life Reflections: Expectations, Expertise And Full Expression
    2026/07/31

I want to be consistent with sharing these podcasts, so I felt the urge, just jumped on the mic while driving from the landfill - haha!

Today I'm sharing about the success I'm having on the golf course, how expectations are starting to have a negative effect on my round of golf, and how I am navigating those attachments. I speak about the importance of process, both pre-shot and post shot routines.

I then go into a tangent about why I think this life is all about exploring the journey, collecting those experiences and the importance of becoming your own expert so you can live in your fullest expression.

    Enjoy!

Last week I spoke about the lessons I learned from a hot tub floater. This week, that metaphor was put to the test!

Come along for a little journey as I share how rough my week started, the tools I used to navigate the storm and the beautiful and unexpected byproducts this experience had to offer.

I feel this might be the best thing I've recorded to date.

I hope it lands with you, resonates and gives you a few takeaways from my experience.

    Enjoy!

  • Lesson From A Hot Tub Floater

Welcome back to Bogey's & Breakthroughs! April 7 was the last time I uploaded a pod. There's been lots going on, and I feel like I've finally caught up with life a bit.

In this episode, I share what I believe to be a great metaphor for life, inspired by a hot tub floater—you know, the thing you put chlorine pucks in? Watching it get stuck on the top step led me to reflect on why we get stuck in life and what it might take to start moving again. I had this realization months ago and it resurfaced during a recent hot tub session.

I hope you enjoy this listen, and if you have any questions or comments, it would be great to hear from you!

  • Birthday Reflections - What I Learned This Year
    2026/04/08

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode I bounce around a handful of lessons that have really landed for me this year - honestly, each one could’ve been its own episode

I get into what it actually means (and how hard it can be) to stay present, the kind of stamina it takes to move through heavy seasons, and why giving yourself permission to dream and visualize still matters - maybe now more than ever. I also touch on my relationship with God, how that’s been showing up for me lately, and finish with some real talk about my wife and how much she anchors me. I couldn't imagine life without her.

    It’s a bit of a mix, a bit of a ramble, but it’s honest.

Have a listen—and if something lands, I’d love to hear what that is for you.

  • Identity: What Stays, What Sheds
    2026/02/18

    Send us Fan Mail

What a wild ride the last few weeks have been. Everyone’s been talking about the close of the Lunar Year of the Snake — a year centered around shedding, releasing, and letting go of what no longer serves you.

And if you’re anything like me — someone actually doing the work — it hasn’t been light. It’s been challenging. Intense. Especially right up until the end. The last couple of weeks have felt crazy to witness in my own life.

    This episode is about identity.

    Who is Jeff?
What does it actually mean to be Jeff?
And what parts of me are coming forward into this new Lunar year — the Year of the Fire Horse?

This is a conversation about perspective shifts, self-inquiry, and choosing what you carry forward.

If identity has been evolving for you too, I think this one is going to land.

    Enjoy.

  • The Yo-Yo Effect: Ebbs, Flows, and Fatigue
    2026/01/22

    Send us Fan Mail

Lately, life feels less like a spiral and more like a yo-yo — steady on the surface, heavy underneath.
In this episode, I speak openly about the fatigue that comes from five years of sustained pressure, change, and grinding forward while the world keeps reshaping itself.

I explore the daily and weekly ebbs and flows, the way each day can feel like its own retreat — an incubator for growth, compression, and quiet recalibration. This is a melting pot of reflections that move through tiredness, perspective, meaning, and trust, eventually tying together in a way that feels honest and complete.

If you’ve been functioning well but feeling worn down — not falling apart, just carrying a lot — this one may resonate.

  • Mikayla Murphy - From the Ground Up: Holistic Living & Doing the Work
    2026/01/16

    Send us Fan Mail

I’ve been waiting for this one.

Mikayla is a bright light in a noisy world. Her passion is health and wellness in the truest sense — nutrition, movement, mental and spiritual health — all approached with grounded common sense and a holistic lens.

After her intro, we explore the noise surrounding “optimal living,” the distractions we all face, and the importance of simply showing up — even when 100% isn’t available.

We briefly touch on the nervous system before moving into a more vulnerable conversation around Botox, fillers, and the deeper layers beneath those choices. With Mikayla currently navigating the dating scene, we also talk honestly about what dating looks like in 2025.

As always, we wrap things up with a little golf chat before saying goodbye — and already looking forward to our next conversation.

If you’re craving a grounded, harmonious perspective on living a balanced life, this one’s for you.
