We seem to live in a world without consequences. Even Christians think they can do what they like because Jesus died for their sins. While Christ's sacrifice does wash away our sins, we need to be careful we do not use that as a license to sin.

The Bible tells us that God disciplines those He loves. Like the refining of precious metals, God's discipline removes the dross and leaves behind something even more precious than gold.

The good news is that the discipline of the Most High is loving and restorative. He wants to be in a relationship with each and every one of us. Sin has consequences, but through God's love, if we persevere, we will washed clean and spend eternity with Him.

Eyes like fire!

Sometimes God will push us out of comfort zone. He supports us with His Spirit, which guides, prompts and convicts us. When God stretches us and calls us to take that step of faith beyond where we are comfortable, He is right there with us.

Hair as white as snow.

Throughout the Bible this is symbolic of cleanliness or purity. It also refers to sheep or a lamb. A lamb without blemish was required to be sacrificed on the night before passover as a sign of God's enduring salvation.

Now, we have Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice for God's plan of salvation.
