What does it mean to be a believer? What constitutes "The Church?"

These words are used freely in many branches of Christianity, and while they are defined, the actual meaning is rarely discussed.

Christine Hobbs is working on an excellent study into the Book of Revelation. In Big God Small World, her and Elizabeth Bristol go even deeper. If you ever had questions or were curious as to what things mean, then this is the podcast for you!

Please come along with us on our journey as we start chapter 2.

Speaking the truth in love is important.

We must speak to our brothers and sisters in love...in all things. Some parts of eschatology are heavily debated, but we must always speak in Love.

Every prophecy in Scripture that has come to pass has been 100% accurate. It stands to reason that the prophecies in Revelation will also come to pass.

Listen as our hosts finish up chapter 1 in the Book of Revelation!

How will you react when you first see Jesus face to face?

John walked with Jesus...he was known as "the disciple Jesus loved" and when John had his vision on Patmos, he fell face down in front of Jesus.

Jesus responded by saying, "Don't be afraid."

Jesus loves each and every one of you. Listen and be encouraged by God's love.

We seem to live in a world without consequences. Even Christians think they can do what they like because Jesus died for their sins. While Christ's sacrifice does wash away our sins, we need to be careful we do not use that as a license to sin.

The Bible tells us that God disciplines those He loves. Like the refining of precious metals, God's discipline removes the dross and leaves behind something even more precious than gold.

The good news is that the discipline of the Most High is loving and restorative. He wants to be in a relationship with each and every one of us. Sin has consequences, but through God's love, if we persevere, we will washed clean and spend eternity with Him.

Hair as white as snow.

Throughout the Bible this is symbolic of cleanliness or purity. It also refers to sheep or a lamb. A lamb without blemish was required to be sacrificed on the night before passover as a sign of God's enduring salvation.

Now, we have Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice for God's plan of salvation.

Listen as Elizabeth and Christine dive in to verse 14, talking about the Lamb and the hope we have through Him.
