It's my story, and it's the story of hundreds of thousands of other people.” The words of Diego Quiñones sound a bit like a text that would be placed at the beginning of an exhibition about the life of migrants in the United States. Perhaps it is no coincidence that Diego works in a cultural space, The Momentary.

    FAYETTEVILLE – From Cali, the capital of Colombian salsa, through Bogotá, Arkansas, Indiana, Missouri, Canada and back to Fayetteville, Lía Uribe's life has been full of travels and a love for music. Doctor of Musical Arts, Associate Dean of the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, Professor in the Music Department, Lía is an international bassoonist. She traveled from Colombia to the United States in 1999 to the University of Arkansas to pursue his Master's Degree in Music. "Life goes around a lot,” Lia said. “I lived in Indiana and in Missouri, played in the Missouri State Symphony Orchestra and did my PhD at the University of Kansas from 2009 to 2013. I've always been a bassoonist and a bassoon teacher, and ten years later, here I am!"
