  • 201: Sophie Cunningham Out For Rest of Season + Liberty, Aces, and Storm Over or Under Win Totals?
    2025/08/21
On our Tip Off Topics, the injuries keep piling up for the Fever as Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the season with knee surgery. In addition, Paige Bueckers became the fastest rookie in league history to record 500 points and 100 assists. It'll be very interesting to see how everything pans out for Paige and the future of the Dallas Wings going forward. Also, the Golden State Valkyries set a WNBA record for most wins by a new expansion team in their first season. Furthermore, the league attendance continues to skyrocket as this season has broken its all-time attendance record with 2.3 million and still on the rise.

On our two Award Tours, we first cover the WNBA Championship and MVP markets. Do the Liberty have a chance to repeat this season or will a team like the Lynx or Mercury have their way to secure a title? Despite Napheesa Collier's ankle injury, is she still the clear favorite to win regular season MVP?
Secondly, Coach wonders if any of these teams can go over or under their updated win totals: Liberty, Aces, and Storm.
