  • My Journey to Worthy with Vanessa Haldane
    2020/11/28
The Journey To Worthy movement was born out my own personal journey and recovery from childhood trauma, a DV relationship, teen motherhood and subsequent mental health issues and disordered eating.Contact Vanessawww.journey-to-worthy.comemail: v.haldane@bigpond.comInstagram: #vanessahaldaneFacebook: Vanessa Haldane Podcast: https://journey-to-worthy.com/podcast/ Take a look at Sarah’s existing podcasts by clicking the link, https://www.sallyg.com/podcastsand don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss all the new episodes at https://www.sallyg.com/subscribe-to-podcast/Please share with anyone who needs to hear these messages of hope and inspiration. More about VanessaWhen I began to heal, it was hard – I had to ask for help, put in the work and make the decision to NOT give up – no matter how hard it got. But it WAS hard and the journey was lonely, I felt like no one else was experiencing what I was. I had this perception that the world had it all together and that I was battling these demons all by  myself. I remember the day I first felt the need to share what I was going through, I was anxious and nervous but I clicked publish on that first blog and Instagram post.  I had no direction for it – I just wanted to share and , hopefully, help other women feel less alone. The response SHOCKED me – women started reaching out and sharing their own stories and a real sense of community was starting to form.I was at lunch with a friend and discussing my growing desire to help women after being on my own “journey To Worthy” – the words came out of my mouth and the hashtag and movement was born. It began as searchable hashtag that women could use to connect, however I wanted something more – something they could physically touch and wear as a declaration of love for themselves. The “I am Worthy’ tees were created and it further extended the community – people were purchasing the tee from all over Australia and overseas and sharing ,with pride and love, their own stories and photos in the tee on, social media. I knew in my heart that all my experiences in my life had led to this – my purpose was to help women and without the trauma, and subsequent healing, of my past – I would not be in the position to help today. I sold my business to study counselling and I started planning a JTW podcast but I still felt there was more I could do to connect women and their stories.  The feedback from the Journey To Worthy army was “when are you going to bring the movement to us?’  Journey To Worthy the events was born from this and the plan is to do an Australian tour bringing inspirational speakers and community to women Australia wide. An event where EVERYONE is welcome without prejudice and without judgement, free to be themselves, connect with others and begin important conversations surrounding self love and worth.Journey To Worthy started off as a personal healing story and has grown to become an entire ARMY of worthy women, learning to love themselves and change their mindset to lead a happier more fulfilled life.Through the events and merchandise sales WE – the Army –  have been able to support The Butterfly Foundation, The Salvation Army and Baby Give Back and will continue to give back to organisations and charities that support womenEvery woman is WORTHY – I believe in you – let’s get you believing in yourselfNess xoxo

  • From violence to finding Your Real Self with Renee Mayne.
    2020/11/21
There is a remembrance in our journey to back to self, a moment where everything that has happened to you dissolves, where you remember who you were born to be without being the by-product of your life experiences.   Contact Renée www.reneemayne.com.au renee@reneemayne.com.au   Take a look at Sarah’s existing podcasts by clicking the link, https://www.sallyg.com/podcasts and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss all the new episodes at https://www.sallyg.com/subscribe-to-podcast/ Please share with anyone who needs to hear these messages of hope and inspiration.     When you willingly sit in the fire of our fear completely unafraid, holding the permission you granted yourself to be yourself firmly in your grasp.  Always cultivating a state of being of your pure soul self.  As we enter into the house of hedonism we move beyond knowing that we are "of the universal one mind", and activate how to be, move and take action as the universal one mind. We transcend our consciousness entering into this paradigm of our hedonistic evolution. Where we end all recycling of fear and step into and unleash our omnipotent, transcendent Intuitive Dominatrix.      Renée is an unorthodox and freakishly gifted visionary and Intuitive Guide, who leads a hedonistic evolution for women who called to disrupt the status quo and make sense of their existence, to be initiated into a new way being, and connect them to their divine self. A poetic and transformation Speaker, Teacher, Guide, Dominatrix, lover of lingerie and spoken word has been leading in the areas of self, service, spirit and sex for over two decades. The ascension of this hedonistic evolution opens you up to world of no separation and for the first time in their life it’s the end of all pursuits because they are complete in every. single. way. A womxn who has had this remembrance will inhabit Heaven wherever she happens to be standing.

  • Quieting your mind to find out who you are with Eloise Skye
    2020/11/13
Eloise is a movement and meditation teacher, and intuitive worker. She found this path after leaving an emotionally abusive relationship, and is passionate about helping others to connect to themselves, to find their purpose and live a life they love. She runs courses, workshops, events, and retreats and believes the starting point of this work is meditation.I am a multi-passionate movement and meditation teacher, energy healer, sound immersion performer, and intuitive worker, based between Brisbane and London.Coming from a corporate background, I like to keep one foot in the material plane!! You will find that some of my events and courses are really practical, covering topics such as movement, meditation, confidence and empowerment, while others dive into the power of crystals, Tarot, energy, and manifestation.Everything I do it centered around helping you to connect with yourself and remember who you are.Contact EloiseFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/LunaApogeeInfoInstagram: @luna_apogeeWebsite: www.lunaapogee.comInsight Timer: http://insig.ht/eloise_skyeTake a look at Sarah’s existing podcasts by clicking the link, https://www.sallyg.com/podcastsand don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss all the new episodes at https://www.sallyg.com/subscribe-to-podcast/Please share with anyone who needs to hear these messages of hope and inspiration. ABOUT ELOISEI’ve always been drawn to crystals, magic, Tarot, and Astrology for as long as I can remember, but took a little (10 year) detour down the corporate path after University to try that whole thing on for size. As it turns out, it didn’t fit! Sooner or later I decided that I wanted to work on my own terms, and actually help people!! I was growing increasingly interested in the balance of taking care of our bodies as well as our minds to save us from our modern lifestyles of constantly sitting, and mental overdrive, so I trained to teach Pilates, Meditation and Sound Healing (I prefer to call it sound immersion TBH).By 2018 I was living in central London and teaching “full time”. That was going well, variety has always been key for me and along the way I started to get more into other healing modalities; Yin Yoga, as well as returning to my roots of Tarot, Astrology, crystals, spells, manifesting. In hindsight it makes total sense to make workshops around these because I’ve been studying them for most of my life! While I was teaching, I started to notice that being around so many people all the time- students in classes, catching the tube all over town, really started to mess with my energy. I’d go from feeling normal, to extremely anxious to super drained, with no rhyme or reason. I went off to do my Reiki training to learn more about energy and how to manage it, which was a total game changer for an empath like me. Fast forward to the Pandemic of 2020, offices closed, studios closed, everything moving online. A pivot was needed. But with everything that was going on, giving people nice bums didn’t seem like the best use of my skills. I felt called to work more from my heart, and while I continue to teach my existing clients (and love doing it), I have taken the opportunity to further develop my meditation offerings, courses and workshops. And so Luna Apogee was born. A little space to allow all of these things to flourish.I am here to help you to connect within and remember who you are. I believe the starting point is through quieting out minds with meditation, and my meditations have been featured on the Insight Timer Meditation App.A few random facts:I love Seinfeld, 90s grunge, 00s RnB and discoI studied Business Management, Psychology, and Journalism and Mass Communication at UniversityMy favourite quote is “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man” ~ Heraclitus Why should I work with you? It's important to find someone you vibe with because you’re more likely to be on the same frequency,

  • Living her best life with disabilities – Lisa Cox
    2020/11/06
Hello! I’m Lisa Cox.You’re probably wondering who I am and what I’m all about, right? I should probably warn you I kinda go on about my own stuff for a little bit here. The reason being, I write and speak about it but never retell the same story every time… Sometimes I’ll just give people a link to this page which might be how you got here!Take a look at Sarah’s existing podcasts by clicking the link, https://www.sallyg.com/podcastsand don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss all the new episodes at https://www.sallyg.com/subscribe-to-podcast/Please share with anyone who needs to hear these messages of hope and inspiration.Contact Lisainfo@lisacox.cohttps://www.facebook.com/lisacoxwriter/https://www.instagram.com/lisacox.co/https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisa-cox-217588a/https://twitter.com/lisacox_coNow, where was I…If you’ve seen my Facebook feed, you’ll know my life is anything but perfect. But I still love it #becausewhynotI’m an optimistic realistic who knows that gratitude is so much more than a hashtag. When people ask me what I do, I tell them I’m a writer. The next question is usually, “what do you write?”I was a copywriter in advertising agencies around Australia for years and absolutely loved it. But then I acquired multiple disabilities (I’ll tell you about that later) and all my plans went out the window. These days I’m a freelance writer and contribute to national and international publications like the Huff Post (formerly The Huffington Post) and The Sydney Morning Hera;d.I’ve had two books published and also write about observations from my own life, resilience and mindset, body confidence and self-esteem, fluff-free motivation, women’s and disability issues and other topical matters. My blog is here and I’m also a I’m also a public speaker and presenter. If you want more nitty gritty work info, you can always connect with me on LinkedIn.I speak and write about overcoming challenges, failure, resilience and things like that… anyone who does even a minute of work in the personal development industry or has worked as a motivational speaker will have a story or two in their toolkit to share. So what is mine?Well like I mentioned before, my life is anything but stereotypically ‘perfect’ – take my  Instagram feed for example. Sure, I love messing around with filters but no matter what filter I use I can’t cover up my wheelchair – and nor would I want to.I firmly believe that we all have challenges but we also have choices. My challenges might look different to yours but often the principles are similar.I never planned to have my world turned upside down, I never planned to be disabled and I never planned to lose a lot (including some body parts!). But I did choose to always make the very best of what I do have. Doing this in your life can make the difference between merely existing and truly living with purpose.I’ve spent many years climbing. At first it was rock climbing in Thailand and then it was climbing my way out of a massive health crisis. I’m still climbing today, failing then trying again – but that’s life! This doesn’t define me but my stories, scars and disabilities are such a huge part of who I am today that I wanted to share it with you in a bit more detail here. Plus, it will give you context to some of my work.I can’t really explain what happened in a sentence except to say “I got really sick and became disabled”.But if you’re interested, the longer version goes something like this…At age 24 I had a brain haemorrhage, like a stroke. It was caused by a nasty infection (Streptococcus-A) and to this day, nobody knows how I contracted it.Before that, life was pretty good. I’d been to university and graduated with two degrees (bachelor of business communications and media), played lots of representative sport, travelled overseas, moved into my own place and after years working in the corporate sector, I had just been promoted in my dream job at an advertising agency.
