    Encore: What is one thing you can do today that will make tomorrow better?

    We all go through life wanting it to get better and some expect it to happen with no effort put in, they want it to just happen or be given to them. There is nothing wrong with wanting and aiming for a better life, society, etc., at the end of the day though how are you going to add to making things better. One conscious decision to do one thing every day, once a week etc., to make the next day better will help this world and yourself be better. One random act of kindness to yourself or others makes a big difference for this world.

    So many of us spend so much time taking care of others, working and doing life while feeling like we are suffering because we barely have time to take care of ourselves. Yet we have this fear/shame/guilt about giving ourselves self-care. There is a stigma that taking care of yourself is selfish and yet so many people are burnt out because they think we are supposed to always be on the grind or hussle.

    Many people are consumed with what others think of them, they put out on social etc., so many things about themselves to make things look a certain way, for others to like them or look up to them, feel bad for them whatever the case, etc., no shame and no judgement, some do this very aware of what they are doing and others not so much but it comes down to people looking to others cause they think that person's life is so great that they want to be like them without knowing they are only seeing a part of the person's life not the full picture.

    We are all born to this world with so many people telling us that we have to act and be a certain way, and that the only way we can make it to the “promise land” is to have someone other than you save you. That asking and looking to a higher being/entity, institution, government, etc. is the only way to save you. But what if the saving of yourself comes directly from you, that only you can save yourself? Of course there is assistance from “others” at the end of the day you have to do the work to save yourself nobody can help you do that!
